HW Forum RPG
I was gonna do some more "HW As..." because the others were well received, and came up to "HW The Forum RPG" and thought "Hey, why not actualy try that one"
I think we may need a few more regulars before we start, and I dont have the time to do all the DMing myself, but we might as well start brainstorming some rules etc for when the time comes

Whoa WTF!
It Worked!
Anyway, right now I'm thinking that each character should have a favored weapon, and an Ether Element and begin the same in terms of Ether Power (none) and fighting ability (Very little)
From there, characters could develop one and leave the other, or develop both in a way that one compliments the other
For example, a Hand-To-Hand fighter could do as Solaria does, pick Air Ether and use it to make them quicker, and thus a better fighter, or someone who was a primarily an offensive Ether user could train themselves in Staff usage to help channel and direct Ether and whatnot
A simple:
Weapon(Name):Number
Ether(Name):Number
system for each character shouldnt be too hard for a DM to keep track of, and the higher those numbers are the more-or more complex actions per round the DM allows the character to get away with
If I were using some sort of Polearm weapon at Level-1 and attempted to run in, stick the polearm in the ground, polevolt up into the air, remove the polearm from the ground in mid air, and then do a circular slash upon landing, the DM would make that fail in some spectacular way.
But if I were to try that at say, Level-20 with the Polearm weapon it might work.

Forum RPG, oh shi--
Interesting system. How would you track Ether and Weapon levels up? Some kind of experience system? Number of times used? Magic (discretion of DM)?

Hmm, yes, this could work well. Although I don't like to rely on numbers too much in RPs, I have no expirence running them, and Mordax's plan is looking pretty damn good sofar.
Yay! Ilpalla hath arrived! Welcome to the forum!

I can DM. I'd kinda like at least another person or two, but we'll see, I guess. If anyone shows up while we're working out the details, we'll add them.

I can't work on the comic during downtime at work. I can, however, do this >.>

Haha, I guess I'm lucky to have a job with some downtime. And no, my boss does not read the comic.

Just like Getsuo. He can't simply screw up; he has to screw up spectacularly.
