WWMLT?

The place where no good punk-asses and aimless hipsters come to discuss a rather lousy comic.

WWMLT?

So what do you think these 8:1 folk have in their CD collections?

Holy shit, Burning Airlines! I have the weird urge to pop in their album now since I haven't listened to it in ages.

I think Mary should have a Gustav Mahler cd crammed in there somewhere, just because. And The Fucking Champs.

I remember Melanie liking Fugazi and the Breeders. I'd guess Charles digs the Dandy Warhols, Eels, Beck and... Ween? Mary...... The Briefs, Epoxies, Quasi/Sleater Kinney , perhaps. Lori prolly has some Elton John David Bowie and Niel Young.

And I'd rather not think of Jason's music.

Also, after that story you told me last week, Jason would have Dashboard Confessional in his collection.

The whole comic just screams "JAWBREAKER" to me- both in overall attitude/setting as well as the characters themselves. Specifically the 24 Hour Revenge Therapy album, but basically anything will do.

Maybe some Jawbox too.

Major props to the Burning Airlines mentions though- along with Jawbox and now Channels- WOW what great bands.

Sonic Art Hipster Craig listens to Chris Stamey incessantly. "the Robust Beauty of Improper Linear Models in Decision Making" is one of his favorite CDs.

Visual Art Hipster Jenna digs Tori Amos.

She like them when she heard them on some bootleg months before they came to America. She was over them at least two months before they appeared on Saturday Night Live.

Nice lists. Guess I'm doing something right. But I think you're all giving Lori entirely too much credit. Well, except for you, Cryabetes, that sounds about right.

Probably, but I'm not sure what your average twenty something girl would listens too aside from whatever rap or rock is on the radio. Lori doesn't strike me as the kind of character who would bump 50 Cent or the Wu-Tang Clan. Jason might, at least Fifty and Snoop I'm not sure he would get the Wu-Tang. I guess she could listen to Six Pence None the Richer and maybe some country. She could also own the Ten Things I Hate About You Soundtrack and Taking Back Sunday. I would say the Juliana Theory, but that might be pushing it.

Jason definately likes Finch along with Chevelle's second and third albums. The first Chevelle album was good, but he doesn't know about that one.
