Welcome to this wonderful world of pure, unadulterated Doom™

The place where no good punk-asses and aimless hipsters come to discuss a rather lousy comic.

Welcome to this wonderful world of pure, unadulterated Doom™

Post by TheSuburbanLetdown »

This is a forum for the comic 8:1, which is a depressing comic about people that do stuff. Or is it about how they don't do stuff and that's why they have such low opinions of themselves? I don't even know anymore. I imagine it's some sort of cautionary tale. Yeahduff and I will moderate this place with the searing eye of scrutiny, so no funny stuff. Be careful, 'cause my trigger finger is itchy, and it's on the button. The red, shiney, candy-like button.

So yeah, intorduce yourself. Tell us where you're from, why you're here and how do you feel about that egg salad I got from the vending machine at work?

Well I have read this comic since it started, and think it is one of the better real life comics out here on the interweb. And now I'll join this forum so that I can study and nderstand the strange two legged creatures called homo-sapien-sapien

'twas only a matter of time before a forum came about. Happy to see it has come to fruition.

Philosophy on 8:1

Post by Rev. Scott »

I've been reading 8:1 for quite a while. I like a lot of the existential stuff the folks go through. I've also been highly inspired by the artwork. My wife and I were working on a comic for a while, and used 8:1 as inspiration to draw a hand with cigarettes in it.

So, there you go.

Food you get from vending machines are usualy of poor taste and quality, but that egg salad was just terrible.

Vending machine egg salad killed my father! :(

Also, HOLY CARP another Norway-resident.

Also... hi.

Someday I should finish that 8:1 carebear guest strip I drew weeks ago. Or... perhaps not.

Edit: And I just noticed that everyone who's posted here so far has a B&W avatar right now. It's like the 8:1 dress code.

I should finish that 3 page one I'm working on. I'll finish someday I guess.

I may change that soon.

Everybody should be working on an 8:1 guest strip. It's the internet equivalent of New Yorkers working on a novel.

Crap, I finished mine. I didn't realize that constantly having one in progress was the cool thing to do. Now I'll never be ________. (popular/prom queen/a teen model/on the cutting edge of the art scene/loved/your monkey wrench).
