It's usually two bowls of cereal in the morning while reading webcomics, so I guess milk.

I'd rather drink tea instead of coffee, but I don't really anyway to brew it at work. At home, I'm just lazy and drink water.

I've discovered that all coffee does is prevent me from sleeping. I still get tired as all hell and then can't sleep.

Sounds like Venture Bros. But I'm probably incredibly wrong. But I can picture that magical guy whose name I forget saying it.

I drink my coffee black, blacker, blackest. I like it strong enough to emotionally scar small children & knock small birds out of the air at 20 feet.

First cup is usually the cold leftovers from the day before, so I can get started on making the first pot for the department. The second cup is hot, but usually goes cold before I finish it, and I do finish it. If I have a third cup I end up acting like a 3 year old who ate a box of Ho-Hos, so I usually don't.

Other morning rituals include showering, washing my hair, putting on brightly colored Hawaiian/Aloha shirts, packing a light lunch, and worshiping at the alter of Yig the Father of Serpents.

This seems like a good place to cross post this question:

What's a good "Irish Coffee" Recipe? Can we whip up something that comes out to Eight to One proportions, for purposes of posting a cool beverage on the "Comic Alcohol" wiki?

What I have been calling "Irish Coffee" when I make it, isn't really, I think. I make a good, hot, strong cup of coffee, then add Kahlua to taste and sometimes I put that reddi-whip in a can on top. Or sometimes I just add some heavy cream. (God, it's good).

But the actual recipe is probably something else. Incidentally, when doing a little research into this, I came across a site with info on Kahlua, and a list of the top named drinks made with Kahlua. We would be in good company, I think.

I thought i would share this list, as it's pretty funny:

B-52
Colorado Bulldog
Espresso Martini
Flaming Lamborghini
Baby Guinness
Mudslide
Quick Fuck
Toasted Almond
Toblerone
Mud Slide
Screaming Orgasm
Duck Fart #2
Dirty Banana
Frozen Mudslide
White Russian #3
Crispy Crunch
Fridays Frozen Mudslide
Pensacola Bushwacker
Paralyzer #2
Ultimate Mudslide
Kahlua and Cream
Mind Eraser
Paralyzer
Dirty Girl Scout
Girl Scout Cookie
Mongolian Motherfucker
Kinky Orgasm
Adios Motherfucker #2
Blow Job #4
Don Pedro

(from http://www.drinksmixer.com/desc292.html)
I'm going to go find out how to make a "Dirty Girl Scout" now...

I think a good name for an Irish coffee variant for us might be something called "Eight to One in the Morning."

Any feedback?

Alternative to Kahlua...

Post by Kerinbot »

If I'm out of Kahlua (which happens pretty often, as I don't go buy it very often) and I happen to have any Bailey's Irish Cream, I use that.

If you're in a really fancy mood, use both. I seldom have both unless I bought too much for a party, though.

Kahlua is the only liqueur that I like neat. (pref. very very cold). But it's great in coffee.

I don't need coffee to wake up, but I love the taste of it. In the mornings I usually just grab a bowl of cereal and some water or maybe a can of Slim-Fast if I'm in a hurry. Coffee comes when I have time to devote to it.

I like to drink coffee when I'm working on my comic, so I have fresh ground decaf Arabica coffee in a 16oz. mug with fat-free half and half and one tablespoon/two packets of sugar.

I guess all that 'light' stuff qualifies as a whole different level of pussy shit.

My understanding is that Irish coffee is coffe with a shot of whiskey in it.
My drink-making resources seem to confirm this, although this recipe calls for sugar and heavy whipping cream.

I am totally not a morning person, in fact, I think f/ dawn to 10 A should be renamed 'Hell-time' or 'The Damned Hours'

My mornings usually start with the half conscious and half blind wandering/stumbling through my house as my sons ask for something called 'breakfast'. I usually head toward the kitchen. I've found this is normally where this 'breakfast' is located.

Slowly, my brain catches up and the day starts

Coffee, though, has nothing t do with when. I drink Coffee f/ wake to sleep. Usually 1.5 to 2.5 pots, the leftovers starting the next days stuff. Black and straight (anything else and it's not coffee) When I have whiskey, it often ends up in the coffee.
