Not sure about this particular work, but yeah, she's known to piece together multiple, irregularly shaped canvases.

I like his floor pie. I forgot the actual name though.

He once proposed to make a giant copper toilet ball and have it float in the Thames River. Didn't fly though.

You mean aside from the fact that they're always hogging up all the good art shows, and people like me who live in Bumfuck Nowhere National Park are way too far away to go see them?

Incidently, to contribute to the subject of art, I'm really into public installation art, as a viewer anyway. Something about putting an object into a place that confronts people on their own turf just gets me off. You know, like a giant pineapple on top of a building. My favorite artist right now is Andy Goldsworthy. I was just watching the documentary about him, Rivers and Tides. The guy's amazing. He takes sculpture to another level, all by adhering to the simple concept of using natural materials, usually found in the place he's creating and placing his work.

The technician in me gets very aroused by the work of Chuck Close. I will never forget being able to see his work at the Seattle Art Museum, back when I was a student.

Chuck Close rocks. They used to have one of his paintings out at the Art Institute, but they either put it in storage or loaned it out. But his stuff is way cool.

I'll have to check out this Goldsworthy fellow when I have some time. I share Charles's view on public art, though I've never done any myself.
