We should've known that the director would be able to see it! After all, directors aren't of this world, either.
Laughter is not at all a bad beginning for a friendship, and it is by far the best ending for one.

I don't know if he SAW her... but he certainly knows Ophelia was there. After the clock incident, there's little doubt in my mind that he definitely believes in her. It would not at all surprise me if he just put the pieces together and determined that Ophelia HAD to be there.
