If you still mean Dark City, then yeah, absolutely. The ironic thing is that it got buried by The Matrix, which is actually much more of a classic fairy tale in SF clothing; Dark City, on the other hand, is real SF but got overlooked as 'The' SF movie of that release cycle.

I've only had time to see it once, but I do have the DVD. Just... no time.

And Cheyenne, I am completely missing the reference du jour. Forgive me! *sob*

Dark City is a great movie. I liked it quite a lot. When I first saw it I was reminded of an old Heavy Metal story about a man trapped in city where all the buildings were false fronts and the people all robots... I wish I could remember the name of that.

Anyways -- any alusions to Dark City that I put in this weeks strip was purely unintentional.

the Intentional movie referance was...
Captain Spoiler wrote:Alan's babble. It's one of Merlin's lines to Arthur, from John Boorman's Excalibur (1981).

Maaaaan, I haven't watched that in a long time... but I remember the actor's performance pretty vividly. It sounds kinda familiar now that you clue us in. :)
