Is that Inuktitut?

Postby Kahrek on Sun Aug 13, 2006 6:31 pm

Was just curious as to wether or not the language used by Elle in the latest comic is actualy Inuktitut. It would quite literaly translate to "SIT DOWN" :)

Sorry if this has been said before, this may be last week's news but hey, it is my god given right to make a fool of myself :)

*edit from sit to sit down i'm a bit rusty with inuktitut my apologies.*

well well, Kata will be surprised to see that. someone actually found out !

yes it is Inuktitut. Like I mentioned in the poll comments, we are thinking of making a special comic about Elle's origins, and here's a litle sneak peek:

Her village is hidden far within the thundra, north of Canada, for some reasons Ill keep secret. She is not an inuit, but they do talk Inuktitut.

You'll have a glimpse of it soon, on the next chapter's cover.

that may explain also the ''poor'' grammar in the comic
(lie!)

Hehe well the only reason i know is that i lived in Frobisher Bay (Now officialy called Iqaluit) on baffin island and had to take 2 years of it in school, i still have nightmares :)

So yay for unfair advantages. Look forward to that story, till then take care and have fun.
