The 2008 St.L. Cookout RPG Thread
I'm setting up the thread. Write in game, player range, and a bit of a description of said game.
And after last year, I'm not setting up a game. Any questions as to why will be printed out and hung on my refrigerator.

Okay, would have posted this way earlier, but I had to take some time to refamiliarize myself with the rules since I'd only read through them once before . . .

Thrilled to be a fighter in your game. Got space for a literal-minded Ogre again?

Um, I'm not going anymore, remember? No more Shadowrun game.
Not one run by me, anyway.

Really a shame since I actually had a game ready to go, and I haven't gotten a chance to RP since . . . well, since the last cookout, actually.

Does anyone play M:tG? If so, should I bother bringing a deck?
Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

Re: The 2008 St.L. Cookout RPG Thread
I used to be a distributor of M:tG and was one of the first people to run an official sanctioned tournament. Then Wizards of the Coast decided to drill new orifices into all of its small time dealers with the Fallen Empire series, so that it could rape us with more than the normal number of orifices.Dotty wrote:Does anyone play M:tG? After that I've always believed the only good Wizards of the Coast employee is one that is collapsed on the ground holding onto their guts for dear life while they dehydrate from explosive diahrea.
But you know, whatever.

Seriously.
I could bring a copy of the card game I'm making, if you want to playtest it.
It's designed for middle-school students and has to do with climate change.

I'd love to see that, but I'm not coming to the cookout. Any way to remedy this?Tim wrote:I could bring a copy of the card game I'm making, if you want to playtest it.

It's also being developed as a computer game, but I'm not entirely sure if I would have the rights to distribute it. I can find out, though.

I just don't see there being time for a game to be prepped before the cookout. If someone wants to try to do it, the more power to them!
There are however, many fun and entertaining card games like Fluxx...
