my department is talking about a trip up to Montreal the weekend of November 2-4.

it's partially for fun, but also we will be looking at the smart planning and neighborhood designing Montreal has done, so there will be boring talk.

if anyone is interested, feel free to join us! we'll tour the city at least once and are interested in as many guides as possible.

Nov 2nd-4th is out, but we're still talking about going up, I'll give more details when they come.

just fyi, they chose the weekend of the 16th, but I need to be in Ithaca NY. the department does this generally once a semester though, so maybe sometime in the spring we can try again.
