Honey, that was only June. You don't want be here in July or let alone in August.

When I went running at 7AM, it was muggy as hell. I stepped outside and started sweating before I was done stretching! In fact, when I first met St. Louis atmosphere upon leaving the airport it was like walking from a nice happy climate straight into a wall of water. One of the first things I did upon getting back was tell my colonel, "You were absolutely right, sir. San Diegans are horribly spoiled for wonderful weather."

Last year we had twelve days in a row with a heat index of 112 or above. That's 99-102 degrees, plus humidity.
The run up and run down to that time was pretty awful too.
St. Louis just isn't habitable in August.
