I'm hoping here that I'm not missing a post that's been around for ages and/or using the wrong forums altogether, but how many people are planning to go to Thing '07? I'm definitely planning to go (it's in the UK and therefore I can afford it

), but I've never done anything like it before and I'm all shy and nervous about going alone

Assuming this is the right place to ask such questions, what are people planning to do about accomodation? Is there a group booking somewhere, or should someone investigate the possibility of such a thing? I'd offer my services, but I don't know my left from my no-your-other-left when it comes to organising stuff like this.

I looked around the Thing forums and I couldn't see anything like this for CGers, but if there is, again, apologies.

Um..yeah, since I paid for most if it, DO clear that through me first, PLEASE? I don't want to get stuck sitting next to some knob. A knob I LIKE though, that would be acceptable.

I'm going to be there. I've got a week off, I've paid for my table (thanks, Laura) and got my tickets, and I even have a place to stay (thanks, Gianna!), so I'll see you guys there in London next March!

Yeah, I'd be lucky to get into Manchester in the middle of a college term, never mind London. Looks like you'll be free of me for another year.
