CG@Otakon 2006 -- who's attending?

WANT TO TIME-SHARE A TABLE AND MEET/BEAT-UP AN ADMIN?

Yes, I'm attending Otakon 2006, and sending up the paperwork for a Webcomics panel this weekend.

Pre-registration is already open, so if you are going, register now.

I'm also intrested in having a table set up AT Otakon's Artists Alley (I doubt the Dealers Avenue will be the best place) and having CG artists take turns showing themselves to others, while pitching Comic Genesis. If you're willing to join me and can commit an hour or two, let me know here. Also post questions about it, as we do have some time.

NOTE FOR ARTISTS WHO WANT SOME TABLE TIME: Otakon is intenting to enforce a "no trademark infringement" policy that federal law requires for the Artists Alley alone (it's taken care of the AMV area). CG will not cover you on this -- you must do it yourself.

Yes, I know this may simply say "no fanart in the Artists Alley." I don't want a discussion of Otakon policy here. It's offtopic for this thread and any messages will be removed. Take it to Comixpedia's forums or Otakon's forums.

Artists (with listing of their characters) who have publicly allowed fanart, as far as I know (Ghastly's thread on the Otakon boards):

• Ghastly for all his works, including his two comics.
• STrRedWolf(myself) for all characters in his webcomic.

I have an unoffical conform for the WebComics panel I'll be hosting w/Phil and the guys behind "Dead of Summer". Everything's better with zombies.

If folks want to have a CG table, then we'll need to get things together ASAP depending on how we want to go:

• The Artists Alley may be a better choice, but is it's filled.
• The Dealers Room may have some space, but it's $750 per spot.
• There's an Industry Room being set up, but it's $1000 and needs alot more setup!

I'd like to have a CG presence, and will help chip in for the $750 fee, but I'd love to see if anyone else is comming. My aim is to have a proper GenChanCon just like KeenCon at San Diego ComicCon.
