They told me they would have shuttle service. I will call Monday and double check that with them. If all else fails, we can shuttle in my minivan.

Good to hear. Also got word from the Consumerist is that if you are renting a specialty vehicle (like a 15-passenger bus) to call ahead and confirm the reservation got into the system and that they'll have it.

Thanks, Aggie! Um... how much advanced notice do they need to come pick us up. Like, do we call when we get there, or call tomorrow to let them know when we're suppose to land?

You need to call when you get to the airport and arrive. If you call and tell them your flight schedule, that wont account for any delays or anything like that.

Once at Nashville airport, collect your luggage to make sure you have all of it (I went to Amsterdam only to find my luggage wasn't arriving until the next day....*sigh*) then call. You can sit outside on the benches and wait for the shuttle. They are only about 15 minutes drive away, so it shouldn't take long for them to show up.

There will be some sort of shelter at the benches, right? Because it's supposed to be a chilly (for me this time of year) 72 degrees and raining in Nashville tomorrow afternoon when I arrive. I suppose I could buy an umbrella at a gift shop, though.

Vivian and I are here, and not entirely sure if we're the first ones to arrive or not. We checked into the hotel and are waiting for some cool people to show up before we go to lunch.

Probably so, Cortland. Aggie, Reinder, Lia and I are still getting things together - loading the van, etc. We should be there later this afternoon, before or around 5 PM or so if everything goes smoothly.

I'm told others have arrived as well, and that all our rooms are close to each other.

it's almost 5 pm-- this is what's going on so far:

After 6 pm we are going to the Opry Mills mall, gonna hit the food court for cheap dinner, shopping etc. Tomorrow will likely be hitting Nashville for the sights. I already have the key for the meeting room and tomorrow I will be going home for a little bit to pick up my large screen television and feed my farm animals (I have goats and chickens to be checked up on). Cortland and Vivian want to head out and see the sights of Nashville, and I have suggested a lunch at the Sitar Hindu restaurant for their week day lunch buffet.

There is a sign up sheet on my hotel room door to tell us all what room you are in. It also has my cell phone number listed on there again if you need it.

Shuttle UPDATE:

When you call for the shuttle, please say the name of the party who has RENTED/RESERVED THE ROOM. They will only send a shuttle if you are able to prove you have reserved a room.
