Ah tabarnak, I didn't get the contract... on another hand I might have gotten an idea for a quick animation.

Me and my bff (who's muslim) went to a porn/sex toy shop today, hilarious. She went in her hijab, that headscarf that some of the ladies wear as a form of modesty, and walked around, shopping for stuff. It was so funny. People stared, but we didn't care. We did it for shits and giggles anyway. We get bored quick. I saw this one retractable one and durrr, like an idiot, i was like "why does it do that?" and then it hit me. "OHHHHH. I get it." I was laughed at. ROFL. good times.

I got shot in the face today by an airsoft gun. The situation surrounding this was epic and full of total awesome badassery on my part and on the part of a fellow cadet.

The Ranger club was doing some weekend long training, starting Friday afternoon. I jumped in as OPFOR (opposing force) around midnight today (Saturday). Basically, our job was to be the bad guys in the different scenarios they were being put in all of today. This was about our 3rd mission of the day, MOUT (Military Operations on Urban Terrain) warfare. So, the 6 of us were hiding out in this little village comprised of a couple buildings, and one of us (me) had intel that would lead to the next mission.

I was in a two story building with another OPFOR. I had a shotgun, he had an assault rifle with scope. We were at the top of a stairwell and had a commanding view of the approach into the village for a full 270 degrees. I covered the stairs leading up, tucking myself behind the part of the wall that jutted out into the room. He was moving from window to window and laying down fire on the attacking cadets.

We've got at least half of the squad pinned down from fire, and finally some of them get inside the building. I open fire as they start to come up the stairs and they quickly pull back. next thing I know, a tennis ball is getting lobbed around the corner and bounces halfway up the stairs. I dive behind the wall and shout "GRENADE!", spinning so that I'm aiming right at the corner of the wall. They yell "BOOM", we aren't "hit" and quickly take up our positions again.

Repeat the process. Finally, one of them fires off a burst that catches my face and right hand, and I hit the ground "dead". A grenade bounces up and AROUND the corner, and my buddy gets "killed" too.

All in all, it took them almost 10 minutes and three grenades to dislodge us. Meanwhile we're shouting "Allah Akbar" and "Death to America" and other crazy shit. Tons of fun, loved it, totally worth it.

Later, we had a downed pilot (me) mission in another MOUT site. After they get their recon, the captain running things pulls us aside and says "We're changing it up. Freed is staying in the pilot suit, but he ain't the pilot. I need someone to volunteer to strip to underwear and t-shirt." Someone volunteers, gets blindfolded, bound by the hands and feet, and gets put alone in one of the further back rooms sitting in a chair.

Myself and two others position ourselves at the entrance. Scope guy in the front room, me and another with rifle in the adjoining room. I'm laying down in a corner, visible to the Ranger cadets when they clear the front room. The other guy is around the corner and unseen, a marker (knife) in hand since it's too close to fire.

Three cadets bust into the front room and shoot the front guy. They stack up at the corner, looking at me as I'm shouting for help and moaning and clutching my stomach, my back to them. What they don't know is I'm a bad guy and have a pistol in my hands. The lead person looks at me and gestures to the corner, silently asking if someone's there. I shake my head no, but she still hooks around the corner and safety kills the knife guy. They rush into the room and she comes up to me, then turns to face the others and starts talking about checking to see if I'm alright.

Pistol comes out. Click click, she's "dead" with two shots. The other two turn and are in shock as I'm capping the second guy, then before #3 reacts he's dead too. Through a window outside, someone sees and kills me. No injuries or anything, I just enjoyed shooting three people in quick succession :D

canadian immigration is a bitch! they won't communicate by phone or e-mail and mail is slow as hell. we're going to have to drive to detroit to handle this whole thing, and as a result I guess we're visiting toronto for a day afterwards, cause it's closer to detroit than here is.

yeah, have a job, but for some reason the letter i got from my employer they counted toward one aspect of what they needed but ignored it for another. also they want us to send in our passports, which we can't do cause they take forever and we have a honeymoon that requires passports to go on very soon.

EVERYTHING, GODDAMMIT

But seriously, anywhere from about 0 to 30 per cent of your taxable income, depending on how rich a bastard you are, whether you're in school, etc. Also, there's the 13 per cent you pay in sales taxes. \o/

Got our midterms back from the professor. Mine was a realistic business case for the application that we are designing for this pet company. In other words - if the pet company had gone to a professional software development firm, what business case would they receive.

I got the only perfect grade in the class - he said in all his years of teaching, mine was by far the best example of how to write the business case. He asked if he could keep a copy to use as an example in future classes.

That was a nice kudos.

You're only learning this now? Windsor is a disgusting city, too, and I blame that on its proximity to Detroit.
