Very nice! I like the stylism you have here. Reminds me of Bruce Timm's work with some nice flares of earlier 70's style comic work in it too!

Typically the rope connecting his billy club together is lashed around like a whip, though generally not around him so much as in front of him. I can remember some images where it is thrown, but there's no whip like effect to the cord. It may be doing something funky like twisting in a spiral, but not like that.

Can't....hold back...its Daredevil....

actually there's lots of pictures where its like that. Its comics so physics is out the window more times than not.picture1 and picture2

Now a couple of notes however. DD doesn't just toss the baton and it not just a simple cylinder. The batons are weighted and designed to be thrown. not like a throwing knife, but with the butt of the weapon in the palm, and thrusted forwards.

I've never really seen the Batons used in whip-like effect. There were times (like the bendis run) when I wasn't reading DD, but usually its more of a batman's grapple hook sort of look.

ha ha, thankfully artists aren't as exaggerated with the baton line like Jimmy Palmiotti, and Joe Quesada. And yes, the physics for it all are not accurate in any realm of the imagination, but since when have comics ever been.

I quite like the one on the right. Only pointer I can think of is try and alter it just a tiiiiiny little bit to make him seem brawnier if he's a grunt. If he's a sneakier character however, booya thats right.

What's funny is I didn't know it was Daredevil. But that wasn't because of Bob's picture; it was because I don't know Daredevil. :shifty:

Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.

Both are designs are done over a traced body I found somewheres and are primarily references for me. The original sketches of the body armor on the right are a bit buffer, and I was a tad disappointed as to how it turned out. But I wanted to try and avoid the armor looking as though it would impede mobility.

Then again, the storyline that goes with the designs starts off after a devasting 17 year war, and the dwindling supply of buff recruits probably gets sent to the Planetary Forces instead of the Space Marines (Space Marines here being used to board enemy ships or fend off enemy boarding parties).

It appears Clark didn't listen to the popular doctors, and wore a backpack that was too heavy to school every day.

Now his spine must pay the price.

Lean him forward, make the top of his torso a little thinner, and you're actually getting a bit better.
