Little camera phone pics of my latest miniature project!! Hence the crappiness. This is still a work in project that won't get finished before I leave on the 25th. Probably. I'm doing a lot of the basing and terrain work over the weekend, the sculpting and painting was/is done at work during the rest of the week.
A graveyard!!!! WITH ZOMBIES!!!
They're back and they missed breakfast! For the past month!
Sometimes you just feel like a midnight snack of brains. Sadly the store was all out...
Ye olde necromancer who doth summon up the zombies. ith.
And his big ass book of DOOM!
Behold the power of magical skulls!!
Notes: The zombies and necromancer come from the Games Workshop Warhammer Fantasy line of miniatures, namely Vampire Counts. The two better looking gravestones and the giant book are bits I've picked up from Warhammer as well. Everything green I sculpted (though color may be hard to ID) which is the graves, the tree, the lamps, and one of the headstones. The cross is just wire held together with thinner gauge wire, a bit of putty, and super glue.
The main conversion work is on the necromancer who will be removeable from the scene. I sculpted a skeleton-like chest plate, hacked off his left arm and replaced it with a more outstreched one and the giant book (which had the back sculpted on), and drilled holes into the skull and affixed wires that join together in a big ball of putty that forms the "spell". I also sculpted leaves onto parts of the necromancer to enhance the illusion of wind and add to the scene.
Once the scene is based, I'll be adding in more leaves (something I dread because they are a PAIN to sculpt) to decorate the scene and again, enhance the illusion of wind emanating from the spell.
I still have not picked a color pallete for the necromancer, though I intend to be breaking from my usual focus on greens, browns, and grays. Most likely reds, blacks, and purples.
