Working on my comic, finally! XD So happy.

Using techniques on head construction that I learned from some professor in the art school that filled in for my regular art teacher. It's really handy. OMG. I love this techniq

EDIT: I'm done with the layout.

Image
First, I do the first layer thing, to show were everything goes, and work out proportion and stuff.

Image
The I work on the line weight and work out anatomy stuff, things like that. Also, I work out where the balloons go, cuz I know we've all made the mistake of leaving no room for the balloons.

But yeah, that's how I make pages now. I'm happy. I finally feel like I'm able to incorporate stuff into my comic. Plus, no final project! Yay.

Critiques please.

Oooh, nice layout Senshi! Flows very nicely from panel to panel. :D

Did you realize you switched the female's hand from panel 1 to panel's 2 and 3? She starts out appearing to summon the weapon over her left hand in panel 1, but then it looks like it switches to the point of view behind the right hand in panels 2 and 3.

Glad to see you haven't given up the ghost.
One trick about speech balloons is that if you incorporate them in your design from the get go you can use them to cover up empty areas or drawing errors. I too, however, often find myself covering up more than I would like with the speech bubbles.

Anyway; alternative version of the panel on page 36

The reflection in the sword was a better effect, though: I'm glad you used that one.
