Well, we had planned on doing a story about AudioDuffin (AudioScience and LagtheDuffin's kid) for halloween, but things didn't really work out. Here are the "character sketches" for her and Nick Jr. (War and Merc's kid Image Image)

The Yeahduff-y features were a spur-of-the-moment joke that we decided to add to the end of "All My Furry Children." We don't really like to think about the logistics behind it... :-? :-?

Okay, so since Halloween is almost over, I decided to draw a thanksgiving-ey picture to cut my next avatar from...

Image

I decided that while I was on it, I'd get ahead of things and draw a Christmas one too...

Image

The problem here is, I now like the Christmas one better, and just might have to put it up instead of the thanksgiving one...grr!

So you get all the loot but skip the religious baggage. What's not to like?

I'd say Hannukah is more religious than Christmas. Hannukah celebrates a religious event (the eight days of light) while Christmas deals more with celebrating the winter season and worshipping Santa Claus (whom can't be considered a diety in terms of Christian ideology.) Of course, the holiday deals primarily with the birth of Christ and the Nativity, but I see that as being much less relevant than Hannukah's religious roots (as humorously demonstrated at the end of the South Park Christmas episode where Jesus sits in a empty room singing 'Happy Birthday' to himself.)

Part of me doesn't want to celebrate the commercial aspect of christmas. But if you don't you just look like a cheap ass. And that is how santa claus continues to win the war against christ.

Actually from what I've heard, Hannukah is more of a minor holiday in comparison to another one (Yom-Kipper? Someone who's Jewish want to help me here? ^^;; )that's not exactly around the same time as Christmas, so it was kind of disrespectful of trying to draw more attention to Hannukah than the other one.

And I for one get a lot of religious enjoyment out of the birth of my savior, thank ya very much. ^^
