Due to a very damaged arm the following is script was never drawn, and when the time came for editing the scene found its way to the cutting room floor. For your enjoyment here is a deleted scene from the exciting CG Apts jam from back when ATM set it on fire. Enjoy!


Panel 1: Long shot of Apartment on fire, Skylark is standing next to Vort watching the flames.

Skylark: Damnit! My stuff is in there! I have to go back!

Vort: YOu can't, Skylark. It's too dangerous!


Panel 2: Close up of Skylark, tears and passion are there.

Skylark: You don't understand! MY STUFF!! The only stuff I ever truly loved...


Panel 3: Close up of Vort.

Vort: Maybe I do understand, we all do crazy things for love. Go! Go and get your beautiful, beautiful stuff!


Panel 4: Skylark has turned and smiled at Vort.

Skylark: Thank you! I promise to be right back.


Panel 5: Vort is watching Skylark head into certain firey doom stuff thingy.

Vort: Good luck, you stupid, stupid man.


Panel 6: Skylark hand is at the front door of the apartments, flames all about, you can see the intensity of the fire in his shades.

Skylark: Okay, you can do this. Your stuff is counting on you!


Panel 7: Skylark reaches out for the doorknob, but it's too hot.

Skylark: Damn, it's so hot, I don't think I can...

Skylark: What am I saying!?


Panel 8: Skylark throws open the door and is hit in the face with tons and tons of smoke

Skylark: Stuff!!!! I'm comming for you!!!


Panel 9: Skylark is now face to face with less than a dozen cats, all staring at him. The place is not on fire.

All cats in bizzare kitty chorus: Meeeoowwww


Panel 10: Skylark is imploring the cats to leave becauseof the fire

Skylark: Oh my god! Cats! You must get out of here the place is on fi...


Panel 11: Confused Skylark


Panel 12: Skylark turns to leave.

Skylark: Kitty cats, please stay here, I need to check on something.


Panel 13: Skylark steps outside, the place is now a rageing inferno, firemen are carrying charred bodies of the dead down ladders, there is an explosion off panel.

SFX: Boom!

Fireman 1: We found another dead one!

Fireman 2: Cool! Let me see!!


Panel 14: Skylark goes back inside, where there are non-flaming cats and the apartments are fine.

Skylark: Why isn't the place burning to the ground in here?


Panel 15: Cats all cock head slightly to the right and, in creepy kitty unison meow

Panel 16: Skylark Knows that he is doomed now.

Skylark: Oh... shit...

Skylark: Stuff... I... Tried....

It's because we don't care, and trying to steer the conversation that way isn't going to work. If you want people to care you have to BE interesting, not tell everyone how goddamn fascinating you are. If you want people to care, make a good comic.

Well, I think your transformation comic should have been more dramatic. You know, like you'd leap out of your window as this menacing lizard thingy and Cookie and company would be all
"Oh my God, what is that thing"
and you'd pull some cliche'd one liner like
"Your worst nightmare"
or
"KKRRAAAIIIISSSHHHHHH"
cuz your a lizard and can't speak.
and Cookie and co. would be all
"Get him!"
and then this dramatic fight.
With fire.
and lazers.
and Pirates.
and Sharks.
Yeah.

Oh, and changing your avatar would have been appropriate as well. You see, I'm not sure you had an avatar before, so this change is not very dramatic.
