At least I pointed out a problem with this one...right?

Besides, I don't like any of the other skins. I'm weird like that.

It's a too gray area. Fadri, for instance, can not be considered a n00b, he's been here for much longer than some people whole style we're used to rather well. Other people who haven't posted for a long while, might enter, and trying to guess them is like trying to find Rpin in the hay. I can't really make a strict distinction to who should be discouraged from entering so I won't.
Oh, oh! Discourage me, please! Then I'll have an excuse for not entering! I'll be able to bitch and moan about being oppressed by the system! I'll be a rebel like all the cool kids, instead of being exposed as the lazy little bitch I am! Please? *puppy dog eyes*

Well, I'm sure that you have some drawings lying around (or that you'll have them in a two weeks). They don't have to be some full coloured masterpieces.
I am much less demanding than Joel and his chans for the main page, pah.

I know I've seen Prettydragoon's art work somewhere around on the forums before.

I think what you're saying is, 'People whose strips we don't read shouldn't enter'. Because there are noobs whose strips are widely read, and long-timers that nobody reads.

Put in that light, your statement looks like the first step toward making ComicGen a meritocracy. Just thought I'd point that out.

(Now I have to figure out whether or not to enter this. I don't know how long someone has to be here to be no longer a 'noob', but I'm pretty damn certain that nobody's reading my strip. ;) )

OK, I'm jumping in on this one! I've been dying to see if I can alter my style enough to fool everybody. It'd be good exercise :D

Oh, and can we have a list of participants this time, maybe to make it easier to guess?

What would be really mean would be purposefully trying to mimic someone elses style and see if anyone is fooled.

I'm like 50/50 on whether or not there should be a list, so I'm okay with whatever ^__^

No list means its hard for noobs to choose since we don't know ev'ryone... a list is all inclusive and warm and happy.

It would be if we were talking about some general forum policy but we were talking just about one friggin' game here. So please leave politics for some other place.

As I said, I won't reject anybody's entries based on how long he's been on forums. You're jabbing the wrong person.

That's not at all what I'm saying. Why?

Exactly. You answered yourself before I got a chance to :D

Ultimately, if I were to suggest that people whos strips are unpopular shouldn't enter, then I couldn't enter either, and that takes the fun away from me! :)

Nono. What I'm saying is that someone with a post count of, for instance, ZERO, would be a total unknown in here. We wouldn't have anything to base our guesses on without knowing that the person was there and getting a link to their comic. Most people who post here have avatars, or have shown some of their work, or have entered a jam or something, and that gives everyone a chance to see their style. Even if they don't jam (as I very very very rarely do) if the person is fairly well known, you can always hunt them down and look into their comic. You, for instance, if someone thought you might have entered they can go check out your comic to see your style there.

If the person has a post count of zero, though, or even more but spaced so far apart that no one really knows of them as a regular here, well no one is going to think to go look at their style.

It's not about how popular your comic is, but the more well known you are the more likely someone's going to guess you. If you're a lurker, and no one knows who you are, then no one's going to think to guess you, and so it'd be impossible (without a list) to get that piece of artwork correct.

I wasn't jabbing at you, McDuffies, I was jabbing at Sam -- and he took me apart quite nicely all by himself. :)

If y'all define 'noob' as 'post count of zero', then I have no problem. I'm an old-timer, and I tend to define 'noob' as anyone who discovered the internet after 1995. :)
