That's an idea... but I'll have to make it a row of pogs (the same restrictions with your avatars, but PG rated). I'll have to look into Kisai's banner code, maybe extend it a bit to let folks say that an image is a banner, a newsbox image, or a frontpage pog.Joel Fagin wrote:Hey, just a random thought on that... What happens if you put in a row of newsboxes on the front page? If each one picked a different random comic, you'd have a quick and easy cheaty way of showing off the wares a bit like Spot does.
Got them all. If you have a KeenSpace comic account, you can use that to store these.(It'd be nice to have a bit more on the front page - even if no one does go there.)
Anyway...
I don't have much webspace so I shrunk them to 300 DPI. Should be plenty for a website but let me know if you need something bigger. I've also left everything in layers so you can seperate the elements out if you need to. However, I did do versions of the CG logo just by itself anyway.

Yes, Chris bought the domains in advance for us.Tangent wrote:Actually if you glance at comicgen.com you get the same thing:

Could be that Keen Entertainment is just making sure someone else doesn't snatch up a name before they decide on it.

I called it.

Both of those names are kind of bland. Neither really represents the the attitude of contribution and activity that occurs in these forums on a daily basis. Although I am loath to lose our term of identification, "Spacers", there are few other words that I think would fit as nicely as Keen.
what about some of these names?:
Artstyles.com
comicscorner.com
LiveArt.com
ComicCreations.com
StudioSpace.com
Art Elements.com
SketchSpace.com
DrawingCard.com
Art Intrigue.com
I don't know, i thought it couldn't hurt to offer.

the final threshold -
the bridge

and watch it burn . . .
We've passed the point
of no return . . .
The Voting and Suggestion period for new names is over, has been over for a very long time. Of all the many names, and many of them with "space" in them, ComicGenesis won. We have an alias in Toonspace/Webcomicspace, I think, so we are free to continue calling ourselves Spacers if we want to.
No more name suggestions, please.

Phalanx kinda slammed the lid on you G-Lode. She's really been working her butt off to get us organized and get a new name picked (usually we take forever plus three days to do something because we all want our input).
Please don't find her unkind - she's right, the whole 'pick a better name than Toonspace' thing is long past. There were hundreds of suggestions (and some of yours are good ones), but many of them it turned out, were already taken or associated with something else entirely. Even the originally selected name, Toonspace (selected by the fab four, not us spacers), was associated with something else.
These two names were the ones that got the most votes, and were available. Neither is quite as neat-o whiz-bang cool as Keenspace, but... they're both fine names.

No worries. I realise my response may have been rather sudden and violent... like an allergy, but it's safe to say I've developed a severe allergy anything that suggests "I don't like name X, let's change to a different name Y. AGAIN."G-Lode wrote:Apologies to all who worked hard to select a new name. I'm not on these forums nearly as often as I would like, and did not read back far enough through the thread to see that the name selection process was over.
Sorry.
We've been at it since last September, my patience ran out about a few weeks ago, I think everyone just wants to get it over with by now.
All things considered though, your response properly expressed what a lot of people are thinking (or I am, at least), but you still put it in a more appropriate manner. Now we just need to get an answer to all this so we can finally move on.Phalanx wrote:No worries. Um, Chris bought the domain, along with webcomicspace.com and toonspace.com before this poll even went up.STrRedWolf wrote:I am in full support of renaming KeenSpace to Comic Genesis, and using Joel's logo.
CHRIS! RESERVE THE DOMAIN!!!!
I setup the domain change URL in siteadmin for people to pick what they want. Unless Chris chooses to not renew the domains in 2 years, we still ahve 2 years for people to flock to what they want.

Hmm. I do have one but there's not much comic there yet and I seem to remember that using more space on non-web files than actual comic is bad.STrRedWolf wrote:Got them all. If you have a KeenSpace comic account, you can use that to store these.
Nevertheless... It would be very useful to have versions of the logo permanently uploaded* so people can get to them and use them for things like the sampler.
Would I have any trouble if I uploaded it permanently to my Keenspace account?
