War wrote:One of the things I particularly dislike about my art is the way I ink people, so the goal for now is to achieve a more flowing and loose technique for inking people. I liked how Urquhart's clothes came out on this doodle, though I ended up obscuring some of the better bits with the shadow on the wall. Nevertheless, this is the kind of style I'm looking for.

You say this name like it means anything to us.

Does Smokey have a shadow of a cigarette but no actual cigarette in his mouth or is that a slip up ?_?

This isn't my doodle, but it's from that DoodleBlog site, and it's incredible.

The following three pictures are all characters from a book I was writing in high school (and partly in college too, till P&A took over).

Yes, I still have major problems with hands. My whiny excuse is that I drew this while sitting hunched over in one of those glass shelters while waiting for the GO train this morning (or did I draw it in the McD's before I was awake totally? to be honest I really can't remember at all).

(i hate everything about alvira in this picture except her face and hair)

I'd forgotten how fcking tall Sassy is, she's a gigantic amazon next to her teeny weeny girlfriend.
Image

Amy and some pumbums and pandaphants thrown in for fun

And this last is just me doodling with markers while watching movies at Courtney's last weekend.
I wub my markers.

It looks like a gel from the original Legend of Zelda.

I drew one of my characters as a cat for no real reason. I also gave him a giant cotton swab. Dunno why.

God my inner ear itches.

What intrigues me is that penciled butt in upper corner.

I might change it though, I'm starting to dislike it for some reason.

The synopsis looks a bit hard to read due to the font being so dark (although I'm guessing this might be because of the size compression). Other than that, looks great =D

Looks good. I imagine that's much more legible in person when it's actually on a book. I woulda made the title more prominent than the author's name though.

That always depends on how important the author is. Someone like King or Crichton is going to have a more prominent name than title on the cover, for instance.

If that were the case, then make the author's name even larger. They're too close to the same size the way it is now, so they end up competing for the viewer's attention in the hierarchy of type.

You know what would make that book really prominent? Large letters spelling "SEX"!

I've been putting off saying so but I just have to tell you that I have developed an unexplainable love of your art.

I'll explain the putting it off thing later
