today morning it was raining and I couldn't stand that depressive dark weather that made me cry yesterday and I KNEW I could do something to make the weather better only with my mindpower. I wished so much and thought of it, prayed and here it is: the clouds went away and the sun showed up.

Beth and I have decided that until Legostar's wedding, we are not going to go out and spend any extra money (emergencies, gasoline and groceries are the only expenditures we're allowing for). We're curious how fast we can knock off debts if we spend nooooooo money on anything else. And the wedding is only a month away, so we figure that's not a herculanean task.

It's been a looooong day today, but I got to eat some of the best mussels I've ever had for lunch. Alas, it was an entirely over-budget day, so I'm reluctant to go make myself something right now.

I've just generally been in a good mood for a week and a half (I blame it on my boyfriend). It's quite nice not being depressed like I was all Winter!

My date was really good. I think we might go on another. Then I went to a party with my muslim girlfriends and we danced like whores because there were no boys around and that's apparently a-ok in Islam. It was a good day.

Btw, my date apparently loves Death Note, Rocky Horror Picture Show, hates Starbucks, likes natural black hair , and has a livejournal. He's quite the catch right now. I hope we go out again.

Also: I don't mind Starbucks, but that's mostly because there aren't a whole lot of chain-style alternatives around heres. There are local shops that are loads better though. CCH serves coffee in glass mugs, which is pretty BA. They also, unlike the local Starbucks, have stereotypical pretty girly barristas.

Sweet deal, there's an internet lounge like a three-minute walk from our new place.

We're mostly set up now, the kitty settled in much more easily than I expected (yay), our couches are comfy and the neighbours are quiet (albeit a little creepy. There is a woman who sits on a chair on her balcony and stares across the way into our windows sometimes... and we don't have curtains yet).

And I got an interview at a candy store today! I start Thursday, and it pays a buck more than I was making at the grocery store. So hurrah! Things are looking up Pimp!

Hopefully the manho and I get internet/phone next week. Fingers crossed.

I hate this time of year. now it's hot, next day is cold and viceversa and my nerves are down.

my flight got cancelled I'm stuck at a bloody airport for like nine hours. I had to spend ten dollars us to get internet access so I don't go out of my mind with bordom. its a good thing I brought my laptop. Goodness this really sucks.
