I should really keep up with this thread more. After catching up on the last 4 pages I must say:
1: Drunken Skype sounds fun!
2: Robby I love your Calvin and Hobbes banner in your sig!
3: Eve and Robin are both very cute!

I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

That might have something to do with the fact that they make it differently in Europe.ahaugen wrote:Coke in a glass bottle tastes way better than Coke from the fountain, the plastic bottle, or in the can

Question: Will anyone be horrendously displeased with us if Michelle uses your picture for her art project?
(If so, she can always default to pictures of family and whatnot; we just thought it'd be fun if it were all GCers.)

You have to go to certain stores, but they have lotsa stuff in glass bottles...I still want some of the Mt. Dew in the artsy metal bottles though. Haven't even seen those for sale anywhere yet (I've only seen one bottle, after it was already empty...my boyfriend made an incense burner out of it, and it's pretty neat).

I meant to post this last night, guess I forgot to hit Submit. Frickin' cold meds.
I think it was on PBS? Maybe Disco. Anyways, I thought it was interesting.
Also: You can use the one picture of me that I posted if you want to, MnM.
I heard somewhere that the big companies did taste tests and found that people can't tell the difference between sugar-based sodas and corn-syrup-based sodas. Not that anyone actually believes this, of course!KWill wrote:That might have something to do with the fact that they make it differently in Europe.ahaugen wrote:Coke in a glass bottle tastes way better than Coke from the fountain, the plastic bottle, or in the can

Can't recall if there are pictures of me in this thread and can't imagine that you'd want to use them anyway, but I give the green light.

Sounds like bullshit or some disorder to me. There's a major difference between the two.jesusabdullah wrote:I heard somewhere that the big companies did taste tests and found that people can't tell the difference between sugar-based sodas and corn-syrup-based sodas. I can tell the difference. I've always wondered why sprite and coke tasted better when I left the country. Now I know why.

Like I said, "or a disorder". I was convinced the first sprite I had in Virginia a year or two ago was stretched with water, because my brain was unsure what caused the difference in taste and then identified it as American tap water.jesusabdullah wrote:Maybe all the testers had colds.

Well water ftw. The water up here sucks. The fact that I can even drink it is kind of scary.
