Wow, McDuffies is running this cell block and Mr. Bob is his bitch. Congrats McD, I don't know how you get all these sheep to blindly follow you but I'm not one of them.Mr.Bob wrote:It takes time for a quality non-pointed strip, Steve.
Did the great rennaisance artists draw pointy hair? No!
Did they take long? yes!

I have nothing to apologuise for. I didn't single out Neko, I was just extracting him from the crowd to point out at his flaws as something of a cancer of webcomic scenes.steverules wrote:mcDuffies wrote:Neko I apologize for pointing out your comic and saying it's complete crap. You see I suck ass. Plain and simple.
Guys, webcomics have a great future as a valid art form of reinvented comics! Let's not blow it up by drawing pointy hair!

Actually, it's about an alien. Which is what your little purple kid thing kind of looks like. Or is he supposed to be a pickled beet? I've not ever been able to figure it out.steverules wrote:No, what sucks is another Grim Reaper comic. There's not enough Grim Reaper comics on the web.corgan_dane wrote:Pointy hair sucks!

...and, c'mon. A radioactive hotdog?
Can anyone say "wiener obsession?"
...and since we're on the subject of phallic shapes, all of you who draw pointy hair fall into the freudian model! You all want nice, long pointy things all over!
YOU'RE SICK, SICK, SICK!!!

*idly sings along to the Pink and The Brain theme*
They're McDuffies and The Bob.
McDuffies and the Bob.
One is comedic, the other is a slob.
Before each night is done.
Their plan will be laid bare,
by the dawning of the sun,
to stamp out pointy hair.
They're McDuffies, McDuffies and the Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, NARF!

McDuffies, let me show you how pointy hair makes a drawing better. Take the example below. On the left is your original drawing. Notice how the proportions are all out of wack. Is the guy on the left trying to run on a broken leg? And they both look like they're constipated. Your inaccuracies are all over the board. Now look on the right, with pointy hair the attention is taken away from the fact that you can't draw and is focused on the extremely cool hair. Either that or you could shell out ten bucks for a book on proportions but I assume your too cheap for that.
You're welcome.

Well, thanks for clearing that up. I've read your comic from day one and have yet to understand it. A floating head and something about killer flowers? Thankfully you aren't updating. Saves us all from scratching our heads wondering what the hell you've been drinking.corgan_dane wrote:[Actually, it's about an alien.

Oh yeah? Then let me show you how your character can actually look decent without pointy hair:steverules wrote:McDuffies, let me show you how pointy hair makes a drawing better. Dude, it's just a stylistic thing. Like round cartoon irisless eyes, blob feet, four fingers intead of five. It's just a convention, no more horrible or less respectible than any of the others. And, I agree with what a lot of people, that spikey hair doesn't necessarily come with from anime. Hell, Calvin in Calvin and Hobbes had spikey hair. And yeah, a lot of it does come from anime, at least here on the internet. But who really cares? Why is it less valid than any other convention? It isn't just some DBZ ripoff. And I don't see why pointy hair is any more 'simplistic' than, say, Peanuts style hair or anything else. Besides which...why does is simplistic automatically bad? :/
That's so what I said....us double Ms seem to only want peace in the forumverseMixedMyth wrote:Dude, it's just a stylistic thing. It's William G. Before you say something, you better check your record and you might see that I was actually getting along well with William G. It was Sortelli who chased him away.steverules wrote: Once McDuffies apologizes to Neko then he can lock this thread and delete my posts. I'm tired of him slamming other artists in this forum and running off people cause he see's fit. That's why Warren G left. Every time he posted McDuffies flamed. Now he's after Neko and damn if I'll let him run anybody else off.
No, he doesn't. Ends of his hair never actually join, they stay open thus emulating real hair.Hell, Calvin in Calvin and Hobbes had spikey hair.
I don't see how what I said now reffers anything that I said earlier.I said that you had said that earlier, and then you said that wasn't what you meant! Hypocrite!
