Yes. Pointy hair is too recent an invention to be of any worth. First, it has to go through the filter of decades to filter all the crap out of it.

McDuffies, let me show you how pointy hair makes a drawing better. Take the example below. On the left is your original drawing. Notice how the proportions are all out of wack. Is the guy on the left trying to run on a broken leg? And they both look like they're constipated. Your inaccuracies are all over the board. Now look on the right, with pointy hair the attention is taken away from the fact that you can't draw and is focused on the extremely cool hair. Either that or you could shell out ten bucks for a book on proportions but I assume your too cheap for that.
