you know, if a lot of their members die in a horrible, horrible way, I hope someone pickets them so that they have to suffer the indignity and annoyance.

Yeah, I'm a student there, pretty much living on campus- saying anything about a bad valentine's day is an understatement. It seems that there's been a great deal of support for NIU, and having caught wind of this early on, there are groups organizing to counter the Westboro protests, to shield them from the funerals.

I can't even comprehend why Westboro would be doing this. Five innocent people died. They don't deserve this. Their families don't deserve this. Our school didn't deserve any of this. In some ways, this gets to me more than the shooting itself. Of course, that's probably what they're going for. Somehow I can make more sense of senseless violence than of hate this passionate, this shameless, this unfounded.

Mr Nightmare Roomate just stole half a pack of tobacco from me, and ate all my food. Money's missing, DVD's are missing, and someone killed off my booze too.

Spoke with my old roomate when we hit the pub today, apparently he left partly because of this guy, all his stuff went missing too. INCLUDING his laptop.

I'm tied down to the house by contract, so now I have to piss around with the agency, seeing what I'd need to get an eviction : This guy is really getting to be too much.

But GAH I hate beurocracy.

Read fine print. Contact the agency. Document all grivences. Get a lock for your stuflf - one of those deadbolt locks. Even lock your room when you're not there. Then...

Get the hell out of there.

Buy more food.

Add healthy doses of laxatives to it.

Is this because Kosovo is declaring it's independance?

Yes. It appears that there's around hundred hooligans who've been roaming around town for about eight hours now, attacking everything they hold for symbols of western politics. Including two mcDonalds which at the time apparently were full of people. According to reactions of politicians, we can expect even greater mess on thursday.

I am currently the most sane and mentally stable person in my family (which is saying something, since I have at least 3 documented disorders), and I'm currently keeping my foster-sister from running away, my mother from breaking down, and various other individuals from killing themselves via my cell phone, since I'm at school over 100 miles away and can't come home for another 27 days. :ick:

My drive home from Kansas City this weekend was very stressful due to bad weather and bad drivers.

My roommate watches the most inane crap on tv. I finally got her to switch it to the history channel for awhile, but she still doesn't mute the commercials. Grar.... I can't stand it..

Gotta work tomorrow, even with only 4 kids showing up. Combining with another childcare classroom for a total of 9 kids.

Why can't we just close for the holiday off like everyone else?!

I nearly passed out on Saturday due to lack of food and sleep. I think I'm gonna actually pass out this week, I feel it already and it's just Monday.

My neighbor's old roomie used to watch "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" all the time. Made me laugh. Also awesome: infomercials on Disco late nite!

This may sound insane, but maybe you should skip class to do homework instead? At any rate, that's terrible, and you have to do something about it! Another idea: Maybe if you'll sleep, you'll be able to make it up by being more alert.

I wouldn't be able to handle that. I'd be a complete wreck!

Jesus. I should probably read up on the news; I mean, I heard about the riots and about Kosovo, but I don't really know anything about why the one caused the other. Of course, it probably should be obvious, just thinking about the secession attempts in my own country's history .

Now for my own bitching: I spent the evening applying for a job. I wrote a bitchin' cover letter (okay, not bitchin', but decent), updated my resume, and called one of my friends to see if I could list her has a reference. Then, I go to apply for the job (online, as they now insist) and it turns out that it's an always-open pool position for most of the jobs in the department, I applied to it a year and a half ago with a crappy cover letter, and I can't change any of it now. Son of a bitch. Then, my friend calls me back, I tell her the story, and I can't help but think that I made it very very boring for her. :ick:

(I can't tell a quick anecdote to save my life. Also, I think I secretly, deep down, still like her, y'know, that way, and I don't want to be boring to someone like that.)

(I should obviously--obviously--go to bed.)
