What an interesting style!

It intrigues me. Curious comic, too! KnK, Gene Catlow and Roo'd Awakening are my main three strips, but this might become number 4...

oooh! would i really qualify? ^.^

that's one of the things about having so many *really* talented friends,
you can't help but be inspired by them even though your own art isn't
as good as theirs. you still want to try your hand at storytelling. i used
to do little time-oriented jokes but now i have a story going and i thnk
i can do something unique with it... :)

And who said your art isn't good! Love it! It's nice to see how it's all evolved from the start to where it is today.

thank you! ^.^ i don't have as elaborate a style as my friends though. (and
especially not like my fiance *^.^*) so i wasn't really saying that my art
wasn't good - only that it was not as good. "a poor thing, but my own"
as the saying goes. and it is quite an honor to be able to earn a readership,
of any kind, that likes to see my stuff. ^.^

"Not quite as good"? My dear, on the contrary! Sure, it's not elaborate- Details do not necessarily make the quality of art any better. You have a unique, simplistic style that is very expressive, and very enjoyable to view. :) True, you're getting out of the early stiffness of your art, but please, don't make the mistake that because your unique art style is different, that it's actually inferior in any way- Justy different. And that is a good thing. :) Just as different as Cap's art is from others- Another artist I admire.

Very true indeed, Amy! It's great to see such a lovely, different style of art.

In this day when just about everyone in furry apes the styles of Disney, WB and anime/manga, shirlee's style is a welcome difference. :)
