Guilty Pleasures...?

I like songs about heartache. Especially happy-sounding ones.

Motion City Soundtrack is the first band that comes to mind. Well my mind that is, but I could be wrong.

Oh my god, I saw them in a church basement with 15 other people back in college. Then again in some other kid's basement with 20 people. They rocked pretty hard.

I can say this, I dont feel at all guilty about loving MSC. I could listen to them all day. They are my main music for going running. One other guilty pleasure I have is downloading programs and hacking them. I have like 5 Adobe products worth about $250 each that I have never paid for. Amongst other things.

And yeah, I like guns, I'm licensed to own pistols as well as your normal rifles, and will soon be able to carry them in the wilderness too -- Remember, that takes some effort in Canada. I don't consider it a "guilty pleasure" though.

My best friend's six-year-old son called me an hour ago to announce that there is going to be a Speed Racer movie and that I can come along if I want to.

A few minutes later, I saw the trailer on tv, and not only is John Goodman playing Pops Racer, but the movie is filmed in IMAX.

I can die happy now.

I think that movie.... I don't know about that movie. All I know is I don't want to see it. Albeit that I'm an anime fan to boot as well.

Well, I'm committed to seeing it, especially since my friends son asked me to.

I figure it like this: Either it's going to be a clumsy attempt to replicate the original series via live-action--which means it will stink...

Ah, after the two Matrix sequels, I'm cautious about anything they touch.

I am looking forward to the Speed Racer movie though.

While they certainly weren't as good as the first, I still enjoyed the sequels, and I loved their version of V For Vendetta

Eh, I didn't as much with V for Vendetta. i understood why all the many subplots were basically taken out, but some subplots really added to the story, especially the head Dictator (sorry, can't remember any names), and how he waskilled (not as flashy, but more meaningful). Also, for a book that's grounded in reality, the ending was just stupid. By th way, didn't they make Fargo?

They also made No Country for Old Men. Excellent movie.
