Interesting. Sort of a toonier style. Looks rather dynamic

Indeed, especially the one in the lower left-hand corner. That face reminds me of Disney back when they didn't continually throw out schlock just to pay the bills (meaning sometime last century). Very expressive.

Funny you mention that. That image is a study of the Sherrif of Nottingham from Robin Hood. Though it actually has more of a Don Karnage vibe to it. I'm basically trying to study how other people construct their faces since I basically designed my characters in a vacuum. I purposely didn't want my style to resemble an existing one at first inception. But now that I've more or less established my style, I want to try other things.

The Half-naked woofer is definately cute, like, "Nu-uh, you ain't getting any deeper."

Don't we know it :P

And anything channeling Alan Rickman is automatically awesome. I shouldn't need to explain why...

Oh, I meant the Disney one with the animals. But Alan Rickman rocks pretty hard.

Here's a sampler lage I'm working on. The first panel is going to be an overhead shot of teh building they're in with dialogue about going to dinner. Panel five is supposed to have ryan saying "be careful" or something like that. There will be a second page too.

Looking good!

Thanks. I'm really trying to pay attention to the eyes and give the characters different eye shapes. I'm still working on folds in clothing too. But I still suck at contrapposto because I don't practice enough.

What Col said. Oh, not that this is new, but nice detail with the characters' ears reflecting their mood. They're like little emotion-thermometers.

Heh, yeah. I say if they have huge ears, may as well make use of them.

Make that huge emotion-thermometers. Ears like that would make lying about how you feel pointless.

"You're angry with me."
"No I'm not!"
"I can see you're angry."
"Oh snap."

Ha! Though I don't really do it in my comic, tails can tell a lot about mood too.

Evan is a Coyote/ Border Collie hybrid, so I try to emphasize his enormous ears. Coyotes have massive ears relative to their body size.

Fun fact: Evan used to be named Ellis, and his ears were in a semi erect carriage. Long before that his name was Wendell.

So Man in a Suit was magically in the area for a Magic Card Tournament, so he called me and we went over to the Scoop of Death (Baskin Robbins). While there, I drew this in his sketch book:

I dunno, it just sort of happened. There are no feet because I ran out of paper.

Someone's feeling chipper! Good drawing, too. :)

I was asked to make a scribbly drawing at work. Later I was told that it's going to be used in an ad and it's supposed to look like a small child drew it. If I had known that, I would've ignored my knowledge of perspective.

Hah! Yeah, that's pretty advanced for a kid.

It's clearly drawn by a child prodigy.

A thread on endangered animals somehow led to this.
