Speaking of nosh, I just watched Beetlejuice this weekend. He's says nosh at some point.

Evan should go eat, but we'll see.

Evan has breast cancer...! You can read the shock/outrage in his demeanor at the end... hehe, nah, just kidding. It probably just hurts being so indie that early in the morning.

And speaking of indie, that first panel would make a great album cover. Ennui Avenue – Bound on Vellum. It’s late and I should sleep, but good strip, yes. I always feel super happy when a new one pops up, partially because it doesn’t happen often and partially because it’s Ryan and Maynard and Ashley and omfg lol Fig Pants. Blacksad?

I used to get up at 5:00 AM to go run on a regular basis. Once I started to draw comics, I stay up till 5:00 AM to draw. I don't run as much as I used to.

Here's some links on Blacksad. None of these do it justce; you have to see it yourself to see how awesome it is.

On the publisher Dargaud's site, you can see excerpts from all the Blacksad albums. Veeeery nice comic. The stories are a bit so-so IMHO, but the artwork is pure deliciousness.

I only have book 1 and 2 and I like' em so far. The stories aren't incredibly mind-blowing, but they're more than decent I feel. The magic occurs when the writing and art come together; it results in an incredible total package with massive general effect.

Getting up early is only fun if it's not required. Yuck.

Now what's our boy up to at such an early hour?

Nice job on giving him a case of "bed fur", by the way. Even his tail looks disheveled.

Getting up early is never fun for me. Unless I went to bed at 10 pm or something.

However I woke up at 10 pm today, and went to bed at noon yester..uh...today.

Ah, the liberties spring break provides...

I always feel like I've wasted the day if I get up after 11:00 am. Though sleeping for 16 hours was fun that one time.

Thanks. Drawing that page was fun for some reason. I haven't had fun drawing a page since page 3 of this story.

The past week was rather surreal, so I didn't get the page done. It'll be done soon though.

Ah. I did check a couple times during the day to see if a new page had gone up. S'all right. The End of Things is worth waiting for. :)

I'll admit that I compulsively check on this comic TOO MUCH. Yes.

So maybe it not being updated so much will teach me not to be so needy. I tell myself that every time.

I dunno. Personally, the sketchy look looks really good for this sort of event. Almost like a commercial or something.

That or I might be crazy, but the sketch looks kinda beautiful in a sense.

Again only echoing what Gilded has already said... Panel 5 looks especially good, even in this rough a state. Something about Evan's face somehow feels nicely ...dimensional is the best word I can think of at the moment. The whole sequence is very good in my opinion.

The end of things is a funny title. It's sounds epic and depressing. WOO!

Yeah, I like the way the penciled pages look, and that's part of the reason I started posting them— that and it helps move the story along if I'm not done with the page in time. I do hope to get back up to twice a week, but that time is not now.

Ever notice how many typos show up on the main page under the comic? Maybe I should type that out before hand instead it being the last thing I do after scanning and before going to bed.
