Well if there is one thing you can count on, but this is merely just a thought and opinion of my own, this comic will have a very melancholy ending somehow.

I pretty sure this small part back at the campus is setting up for the next arc indeed. I agree.

I imagine that Ryan is going to commit suicide or break down. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that he takes little things seriously and vica versa. Of course, his high school gf will be there. I imagine she's probably the death of the story, and, if not, there won't be much of a parlay. I don't feel it would fit Evan to ave a huge thing with her, since he feels so much guilt about it. He'll have to face his weight, but not her. I think this arc will be over by the end of the year or so...

I hope you see I wasn't nagging for an update(but SOMETIEMS I WANNA ). The point is, that with so many adverse themes around I'm confused where it's heading, taking into account there can't be that many pages left.

I'm having a lot of breathing problems because of the season, so I didn't get around to drawing this weekend. I was also gone for much of it, and I tend to play video games when I feel ill.

But just so no one gets their hopes up too much, ShannC is pretty much on the right track — some things will get resolved by the end of this arc, and other things are just the beginning. If anyone's wondering, the comic has a set ending, and it's planned to only be the final year in school. This arc takes place in the fall, so summer is when the comic itself ends. At the moment, there are only 3 more arcs planned.

That's actually a bit of relief. This type of thing needs to be treated just in that manner. Not that any webcomics ever benefit from turning into a fanwhoring project, but story driven comics such as your's, suffer the greatest. While it is possible to introduce an infinate number of side stories to End of things, it'd really suffer from it. Though maybe there'd be a lot of fans around here: infinate stories, infinate cameos, and don't forget the pr0n! bleeeh.

Why am I saying this, when you already know it?

Actually, if I was in the business of printing comics, I'd consider End of things. Maybe as a curiosity part in a collection rather than a stand alone print, maybe if the first chapters were redone, but damn how many things could you even say that about?

I rather like the idea of The End of Things having an end. It just didn't seem like the type of comic to go on forever and ever. And IMHO going on and on and on is generally a bad idea anyway. Even the best continuing series tend to go stale after a while. A good story needs an end.
