Don't do too much drug, you don' want to become an addict. When your chinf starts feeling numb, that's when you really feel it.

Wisdom teeth getting taken out soon? I just had mine taken out yesterday so I think I can give some good advice mayhaps.

If you're taking all of them out then make sure you have a lot of stuff to entertain you.
If the bleeding doesn't stop after a while use tea bags instead of gauze.
Milkshakes are your friend.
If you puff up like a chipmuck, don't worry, just keep your cheeks iced for twenty minute intervals.
Piankillers are awesome.
Don't worry if you drool a lot, it stops after a day or two.
People don't always react the same way to having their widom teeth pulled out. When my older sister had hers taken out she was bedridden for a week. I am able to walk around the house and talk, albiet with difficulty. The choir teacher said that she chewed on teabags and was able to eat a steak the day after her surgery.

That's all I've got for now, but I'll put down more if I can think of them.

Gonna go see family I haven't seen for a long time. ^.^

I was eating cheez-itz (I forget the spelling) the next day. And chips. And being scolded constantly. I was also working the next day. For some reason my body didn't really react. I didn't swell up for very long, I was totally able to talk, not very much numbness.

However, I will recommend not having caffeine with Vicoden; it makes you insane. I don't remember anything of that week after someone recommended it. Someone told me later that I was chasing chocolate. I think I spent some of that time on the forums tho, actually....

Does reading count? I have been collecting a pile of books that I need to read...

And I don't really like taking pills, but apparently I'll have to take painkillers every two hours (doctor's orders.. bler), which, uh.... does it strike anyone else as strange? It's like, one painkiller first, then a different one two hours later, then the same as the first two hours after, etc etc etc...

I don't think we have Vicoden down here... but I'll steer clear of caffeine with painkillers, thank you! ^^

Shall report back with how I get on after the surgery (the 28th), but for now I'm just very glad that I'm on holidays...


Which reminds me.. how weird is it when your eye is like, welded shut from that sleep stuff so when you wake up and go to open your eye it's like 'OH GAWD MAI EYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE' only less because it's... just weird. >> eheh.

Anywho, LadyNS, should one use used tea bags or unused tea bags instead of gauze? Unused are more like gauze and that, but used would help cool down the hole, if they weren't recently used... plus they cool down quickly.

a moistened, but not used. Keep it your mouth for 30 minutes at a time. It is good for if your gum continues to bleed. *Asked a friend who works in the hospital's dental unit just for Voyd* ^^

I look like I have a tree full of gauze in my mouth... but the bruising! Oh, it's fantastic! I want to go out in public and tell people that I'm a poor, beaten child. It looks like I have face fungus. It's really a very pretty shade of green...

Awww. Are the tea bags working??? It wasn't that much trouble since I am the hospital working almost everyday.

Oh wait till it gets blue. Then you can just say you had blueberry pie. My Friend did that when she got her lip pierced in the center

Someone thought I had gotten a tattoo when I (proudly) showed them my stitches. But then they realized that 1) I'm not the tattoo type and I wasn't yet 18, and 2) people generally don't get tattoos between their eyes.

Heehee, luckily I wasn't bruised badly enough for them to go blue; they're all yellow and fading now I was kind of sleeping for most of the time for this past week as well, so... a lot went by me without me knowing must... update!

But but... I don't like blueberries
