Uh...think if it as...like...if you're trying to balance on something and are probably going to fall. That's precarious.

Whoo - always a little tough to summarize well. Here's the wordy plot synopsis:

DeadPenny's the story of Finn Cooley, a cab driver, and his somewhat unwanted passenger. A year previously, 7-year old Penny Rose drowned near her home in Stratton. Her ghost bargains with a pair of raven reapers for another year on Earth, so that she can get her body buried next to her grandparents. When the body dissapears, however, she turns to anyone she can find for help. Finn has the unfortunate luck to be in just the right place at just the wrong time, crashing his cab at the sight of her by the road.

Once out of the hospital, DeadPenny is his constant companion, insisting that he must help her find her body. He begins seeing other ghosts as well - and wants nothing more than to go back to a normal life. When he finds himself in need, DeadPenny puts herself inside Finn, granting him luck and skill beyond his own. As much as he resents his unwilling involvement in her quest, Finn grows to like the little dead child. He strives to help her any way he can - but DeadPenny's time is rapidly running out.

It's far from finished... so don't go holding your breath to get a copy. I'm thinking I'll put it on CafePress in novel form if I don't find a publishing company interested in it. Cost will, therefore, depend on what it costs cafePress to make it.

I'm also holding out the faint idea that I might still make it a comic someday... but thus far it works so much better in novel format. I still draw a bunch of sketches in the process, though.
