New Character Designs? WTF?

Those new sketches looked pretty tight. I'm wondering if the world would also have to be drawn more realistically. And would that put a cap on the cartoonish hilarity?

Yeah. We thought about that. Ultimately, we have decided to stay with the current art style for the strip and save the other style for later projects.

Maybe you could go a different route and make the characters even more cartoony looking, like Clone Wars or Dexter's Lab?

The art isn't "good enough" the art is fantastical. Also, Scott Kurtz is known for ruffling the feathers of almost EVERY web cartoonist even Penny Arcade occasionally. [/url]

First of all, I think the comic is well done all around. Wanted to say that to you guys as the community is still small.

Second, when did the drama of the catroonists supercede the work they produced?

Thanks for the kind words of encouragment. I don't the drama supercedes the work. I think it runs in parallel with the work. Growth in chaos. Knock a few anthills over and they get rebuilt stronger than before. Either that or webcartoonists are inherently jerks.
