Symprov: The Interactive Comic

I am not going to let my forum wither and die. So I've been trying to brainstorm some ideas on how to get more traffic flowing here. Here's one idea: YOU get to decide what happens in the comic! (well, forum comic, at least.) This is kind of a half-baked idea, so this is as new an idea to me as it is to you, and we'll make improvements along the way. For now, it'll be like Mad Libs...but better, since I'll try and write it so you don't need to worry if it's an adjective or noun or anything like that. I'll make up a story, you fill in the appropriate blanks, I'll illustrate it, repeat as necessary. I'll flesh out the story where I think it's needed. We'll start off slow...just reply with your suggestions appropriately numbered. Ready? Me neither!

Chapter 1: Sym's Day Out

One quiet day, Sym and the gang were just kind of hanging out. "I'm bored", said Sym. "I know," said Bill, "let's start a webcomic!" Sym slapped Bill upside the head. "I'm not that bored," he replied. "But you know, I think I'd like to go ____(1)____."
"But aren't you afraid we'd run into ____(2)____?", Bill asked.
"Nah, we'll be fine, as long as we take ____(3)____ with us", Sym said. "But to be safe, maybe only ____(4)____ should go with me."

I just realised, after a year and 1/2 you never did finish comic 1, did you?

Heh... I guess not.

Partly due to lack of interest, and mostly because there's still writing to do on my part. I think I've got preliminary sketches for this, actually....I'll have to hunt for them. Just to prove I had thought of continuing it, at least.
