Hey there, Thanks for the pro feedback on Mikey! As for the party, According to the group 4 thing, we may be doing strips, but I don't think it's for sure just yet. Waitn' on RPG WORLD. I swear, I post in a different forum every time. So now I stay right here.Reading the other forums, it appears we have the option of one-shots, strips, storylines, whatever the heck we want.I would personally prefer the storyline option, because continuing stories have so much to offer. But whatever we do, I have to know soon. Unless, that is, I plan to wait until December 15th to post ANYTHING.Due to my scanner dilemma, I have access to a scanner only when I visit home. That leaves me either Rememberance Day long weekend (November 11th-13th,) or...brace yourelves...CHRISTMAS VACATION. That would, for me, start on about the thirteenth or so of December, and end on January third (the day after my birthday, coincidentally.) That would be a long wait.My hope is that maybe I'll get a couple of strips done for the long weekend, so I don't feel totally useless for the first half of the crossover. So, what do we say? Pin-ups, one-shot strips, or a big storyline?I vote storyline, if we think we can swing it.Post here.

I know that updates on my own personal site would be very difficult without my scanner. I was hoping to try and get a few strips for the party stockpiled by Friday, so I could have a few to cover the first ten days of December (for which I will not have a scanner.)I still like the "preparing for the party" idea, but who's to say they aren't all--for example--carpooling to get there? They could be late for the party because they're having trouble getting ready to go. This way, maybe we wouldn't have to start the crossover early, when I'd probably slow you guys down....Here's the only thing that I'm absolutely CERTAIN about. All the comics that you guys do could just be Emailed as attachments to insidejoke@sluggy.net (I don't need to Email my comics to myself.) That'll be easiest, I think.You know what's scary? I didn't volunteer to be a wrangler--but I ended up as one anyway, and it's cool!WhooT!!

Hello Group 4,Has anyone heard from Damonk? I think we should split the storyline into three parts. We should probably do it in order, kinda like the "conspiracy", so we don't get any conflictions in the storyline.The parts could be:Preparation for the Party.
Going to the Party.
Arriving at the Party.
Chilling at the party.
Leaving the Party.Obviously, if Damonk doesn't join, we can slightly alter this idea. And if someone decides to do more than one strip for his section, for example, coming to the party, they could do a few strips each with different characters carpooling together or something. Get the idea? I might be unclear.What do you guys think? If this is cool. Let's decide who gets what.Paul------------------

Damn that John T!!!!!I wish we could get a reply from the other guys. I am up for a story line. I could totally see the hero being amazed at playing a game on the playstation since he's always been on the inside and he's now on the outside. If Damonk joins our group, we could put some of his ideas into eefect. I guess we could make the story follow a need for girls kinda thing. We have endless possibilities with that as described by Damonk.Time to brainstormPaul------------------

I think it's settled. Three out of four (or is it five?) people want the storyline. Now we should send hassling e-mails to Ian. Then get ideas rolling.
Like for some reason they all came to the same party and now.... well, stuff happens. Stuff that happens when these kinds of people get together. Ummm... yeah.------------------

Sounds pretty sweet. Slowly slowly we're working our way up on this thing. But what about the eventual uploading. Does the "preperation/getting" there part go on an individuals site, while the "at the party" goes on one site, then "leave the party" back on individuals or is it all together from the start? And then we'll have to come up with stories before hand, which is way different from how I do my comic. Turn on the computer. Open Flash. Draw whatever pops into my head. Save. Upload. Repeat.------------------

It would be great if we could try to keep the crossover self-contained (i.e. on the party2001 site,) if only because the party thing is in no way linked to my current storyline. That is, the storyline that will be going up when I start again....See, if the characters have to carpool or something to get there, we'd have an excuse for them to be in the same place trying to get ready for the party. Just a thought.WhooT!!

That's awesome Joe!!!! We should definitely put in a pre- party build-up. All of us are getting ready to go, but we can't yet because you can never show up to a party when it starts. So we can show what happens before. Maybe we go to a diner or something. Or we wait on cherry because girls always take forever to get ready. Or maybe we are waitn' on Netboy because he's gettin some last second play with Mindy? Or at least we think he is, when there really doing something g-rated thanks to "FRAMED", if Damonk joins. That sounds like a good idea--the pre-party preperation thing. Betcha nobody else thought of that one!Oh, and for your information, Mindy is Ryan's girlfriend, not Nettboy's. Ryan may be having trouble with Mindy, but Nettboy is doing fine with his girlfriend (who has never actually been in the comic....)I guess the next step is to decide how (like, what order, frequency, whatever) we're going to organise this storyline. Suggestions, el groupo?Hopefully we can decide at least that for Monday, so I could try to get a head start on my damn confusing scanner situation.WhooT!!

The pre-party thing is great. If we work it out we could have each different site do the pre-party before the cross over with everyone thogether. Just tossin' out ideas.------------------

I agree with Joshua. We should keep all the strips together on the party 2001 site regardless of the pre-party idea. If you want to put it on your site, I am definitely just gonna put up a link to Party 2001. Now, how are we going to choose who gets what? I think since Josh has limited work/scanner time, he should get first pick(and because he is "god" of our group...the wrangler) <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">. As for a storyline, I think...Preparation:
-Some characters could be hangin out at an apartment waitin' for Cherry to get ready.
-Or some can run into each other at a diner or something and decide to go together.
-Perhaps, Pauly could be showing the hero his playstation before the party...Going to the party:
-Maybe they get pulled over.
-Or can't find parking.
-Or get lost.
-Or lose each other(separate cars) and end up in their own adventures.Arriving:
-Meeting some of the characters not in our group at the door.
-At the wrong house, wrong party.
-Everyone splits up at the party and the artist shows each character's encounters(on the dance floor, by the keg, please remember that Pauly doesn't drink beer but Dr.Pepper, On the couch, etc.)Chilling:
-chilling
-expanding on the encounters.
-Boys hittin on Girls, Girls hittn on guys.
-Some characters might be impressed in meeting some Keenspace All-Star.Leaving:
-Cleanup
-Designated Driverism
-Who goes home with who
-Sleep over.Obviously, these are just ideas. But it's a start. What do you think? Let's decide who gets what.Paul

Well I'll just take whatever is left over. That's always been the way I do it. And I'm guess the one who gets the first part should go first, etc. That way we'll know what's going on, what has happend.------------------

Also,I've been reading up on Party 2001. Apparently there might be the decision that the party is split up into different rooms of like a mansion. each group would reside in that room. This kinda screws up our idea of everyone going together, because that would be pretty stupid if everyone went together and partied with themselves in the same room away from others.We could however, break the rules and just go into all these other rooms. Ha? Ha? I dunno.It would take some researching of the other groups but that's an idea.Paul------------------
