A school birthday party...mine!

Yep. My kids this year decided to organise a not so surprise birthday party for me and pretty well did it all themselves. A handful of them gave up playtime to decorate the room with banners and balloons and set the table with the food they'd organised the rest of the kids to bring, and everything was set for an hour and a half between playtime and lunch.

They did a decent job, eh?
I had other ideas first. Ninety minutes of party just goes downhill quickly, so we went out for a bootball style game first off. It even started raining, but there was no way I was having them inside for that long, so we stuck it out and finished the game and saw the rain off.
One of the kids then got hold of my camera and took this happy snap...

I love the sentence above my head!
Was a nice gesture from the kids, and one of them even made me a bead necklace earlier in the day during their art time.
And I get told my job must be hell...

My eyes are bombarded by bright colors!! :D Looks like it was a blast.

I always wanted a class birthday party when I was a kid but my birthday was over winter break. Oh well. I guess when you're a grownup, it's nicer to have the day off :P

Whereas we who had birthdays on school days would have given an arm and a leg to have it on the holidays!

Heh...bright colours...I honestly didn't notice the colours. Welcome to my world! :)

Heh...you had me confused for a minute there...my tag's out...I actually went back to that picture up there to check that it was in... :)

Yeah, the tagboard's been out for about five days or so now I reckon. Starting to get a little frustrated about the whole deal, but you can't complain about free stuff, eh?
