Comic #78 and Wasabi Peanuts of DOOM

Post by E~Man »

Much yayness on the new comic!

Kristy, I hafta agree that Wasabi peanuts are wickedly tasty evilness...

I get mine from a place called Picard Peanuts...and I don't have quite the same reaction as you and the others in the youtube vids...of course I eat 'em one at a time :P

This sounds like me with any cinnamon candy, except I don't realize that I've killed all of my taste buds until I try to eat something else. Those buggers don't grow back for days. I'm probably oversensitive, but it's so delicious! XD

I love wasabi! Assults my senses like a tactical air strike on a stationary target but it is worth it.

Great comic and movies Kristy. It was funny as hell to watch you squirm under the influence of japanese-made products. hehehe.( I had no sound though )

The con is so close now guys....

Poo!

All that we have here in the North are wasabi peas, which I barely notice while I eat them.

Happily, I'm tentatively planning on a trek to Savannah later this year so I plan to try the Wasabi peanuts then.

Thanks for the funny comic and movies, Kristy.

See you at the con!

All of ComicGenesis was down on monday. I didn't even get to see the comic go up.

I love wasabi peanuts, but those things are only potent if you eat like a third of the bag at once. The peanuts are okay one at a time, but once you go to two or three, they make you cry. Nummers! I bought mine at Fresh Market. See if you have one near you. Man I love that place.

Btw, ICON GANKED! I had to optimize the crap out of it to make the file size small enough to use on this forum, but there ya go. ^_^

I do like the icon, it is great. And I finally watched your yootubes with sound. Funny stuff made funnier. I hope I can locate some at our world market at the mall. It has everything else so why not wasabi-nuts.

I've never seen any at World Market. I have seen wasabi peas there, but they're nothing next to the peanuts apparently.

Wasabi is a different kind of spicy though.. it's not the type that burns on the way down and makes you loose feeling in your tongue for a couple hours. It's just like... SUDDENHARPPAININYOURNOSE and it's gone.

I will totally bring some to Pittcon.

Has anyone here ever had real fresh Wasabi? (I haven't) I'm wondering how it compares to the dried stuff...

I chicken out every time I go out for sushi. I've heard too many stories about nearly choking, plus I like avoiding horrible pain when possible. But now I'm wondering if I should try some out of curiosity... :-?

Teeeeechnically the green stuff you eat with sushi is made of horseradish not real wasabi, but they're close in nature and horseradish is a lot cheaper/easier to come by.
