Bonehead Comics Updates Thread!

Figured I'd make a thread to keep everyone posted in.

Progress is definitely being made. I have all of the main pages laid out. Now it's all a matter of building in the archive and extras.

It's taken longer than expected due to kittens and work, but we're getting there. I've made up my mind the site will be properly finished before I unveil it.

...and let me tell you, at this point, it looks really good. (IMHO!)

Also, I've completed two new comic strips, and have a third halfway done.

You know what that's called? BUFFER! Heck yeah! I haven't had any of that since early 2006! I want to have at least two months worth of buffer before I unveil the site, but that shouldn't be hard. Since I'm planning on updating once a week, that's just 8 strips. The hardest part will be keeping them diverse throughout the 5 comics I'll have on the site.

More updates as things move along! I appreciate the patience, not only over the past year-ish of hiatus, but while I work on this. I just want it to be right and look good before I unleash it on the unsuspecting public.

Progress Update!

The archives are put together and working beautifully. I haven't found any broken links yet...I'm going a bit cross-eyed looking at the code, though. I've got almost 200 comics total overall, and that means 200 pages, each with at least 8 links to check each.

My clicking finger is tired.

I have the extras done on Haiku and the Stick Margarine comic. With some luck I'll be able to finish the Scarecrow extras tomorrow and then dive into the MTG extras. They'll take the longest, since I've got the most MTG related things to post.

I'm projecting the new site will be up by Wednesday of next week at the latest. I want to have it up on Sunday if I can keep myself at my desk working on it.

Update:

Well, I got slightly sidetracked. A new Harvest Moon game was out that I didn't know about! Anyway, I got it, and wasted much time playing it on my DS.

Worked on the website tonight, though, and I'm happy to say that only three pages need to be built, and then after a few tweaks it will be complete!

I still need to do the fanart, extras, and link page on the MTG section of the site, and the site will be pretty much functional. I will probably add some sort of link section to other comics on the front page, too. Right now the main links are sort of cheap ways out. I might take one extra day or so just to make them perfect.

I predict the site will be up this weekend. Probably Sunday.

If I'm wrong, well, it won't be the first time.

Update:

Okay, I stayed up until 2:30 in the morning on Friday working on the MTG fanart pages. That took forever, and I still need to tweak them a little. All that leaves is the extras page, and some other simple fine tuning and it'll be done.

It's up and open to the public!

I didn't finish a few things, but that's alright. I didn't get the links up on the fanart pieces to their creators, which will take time, and I didn't get the extras page made for MTG, because I realized I had no idea what I wanted to put up there.
