Workplace Communication

My new job grants me the occasional opportunity to visit and post in these forums (for now), but not in any instant messaging service or even email. Thus, this thread is a "chat room", after a fashion. I may not always be able to reply right away, but if you want to just "shoot the breeze", then we can roam around with all manner of subject in here and let the dialogue become totally disjointed.

I work from about 9am EST to 5pm EST, Monday to Saturday.

Well, always good to know there is SOME that you can communicate, i mean, how fun would it be if i had to be deprived of Vile the whole of the day all the days except the weekends, nope, no fun at all..

*sits at the computer and clicks the refresh button repeatedly, until he remebers that Vile is probably not even at work yet, as it just left*

Well, I'm at work. So, I should probably also, you know, actually do work. But I'm sure it's generally known around here that I have a terrible work ethic. I mean, I can't even remember how many comics and pieces of art I've promised around here and failed to deliver.

Terrible work ethic huh? Yeah.. bit of he same here, i work better under pressure, so generally things are left to the last minute.

Sorry. I would have replied earlier, but the boss wanted me to open the computer up and see about installing a new hard drive. I was unable to do so since it's a crappy little Dell and there's no room to fit the second drive in.

I recommended he just purchase a new computer. This one is utter shit.
He didn't want to hear such a thing. So then I offered to take his new hard drive off his hands in exchange for a portable hard drive. Heh, 250gigs for me, and about 100gigs for him. I like this deal.

Returning to the previous subject of work ethic: last minute was my style too, until I started going past the last minute and it's been worse than downhill since then.

Yeah.. theres a very fine line between walking that razors edge and falling over the other side.. so far ive managed to keep my balance.. though my feet are starting to bleed, walking on a razor is sort of uncomfortable..

Well, I should admit that I'm a bit of a travel slut (we all have our little cross to bear) Hong Kong next week, then Fiji the following month.

Who knows where I could end up in a few months, and I've never been to your neck of the woods, and being trussed up with velvet ropes is a damn good reason to get there!

I'm sure we could also arrange for you to have some inexpensive lodging while here. At the very least, you could sleep in my backyard shed.
