It's great to be back!
It's my curse that all my fans are more talented than me.
------------------

Thanks Boxjam, it's positive feedback like that that keeps me going.
I've come to realise that I don't look at myself as a cartoonist and it's not my dream to become one either. I don't draw Ghostz for the satisfaction of the actual creation itself but more for the feedback I receive. It's like telling a joke, most of the fun's not in the actual telling of it (unless you're one of those annoying people who can't stop laughing at their own jokes) but in the reaction you get (maybe this is just me).
Anyway, I think Ghostz will evolve. Into what? I honestly don't know. I feel the urge to experiment more. I've done that a little this week, with the aardvark picture, the plot overdrive, the finland side jokes, messing around with the art a bit. I'd like to continue with that kinda stuff. I don't know if that's what you liked about this week's comics. I'm certainly gonna try to continue in that direction.
Of course talk is cheap. If there's one thing that Ghostz really lacks (besides an overall plot, good characterisation and art) it's planning. I'm trying to be original one day at a time (and often I feel like I'm failing) and I just pray to the gods I don't believe in that I'll be able to keep it up.
One of the things I'm planning to do is finally get off my lazy ass and stop thinking about all the stories I want to write (talking 'bout regular prose writing here, not comics) and actually write some of them. And then publish a paragraph a day below that day's Ghostz. Of course for that to work, I'd have to write in English, not my mother tongue so let's not hold our breath just yet. Don't forget, I'm an incredible procrastinator.
Well, this has turned into quite the little essay. I probably should've just stopped after the first paragraph. I guess I just had to get this off my chest.
------------------

This ain't your daddy's Ghostz!
Man, you've really turned it up a notch.
This week has been absolutely great. I
laughed every day.
Exploring the hard to get at jokes is
tough, but rewarding. If you ask me,
you should keep up this new direction.
Thanks for not being a comic that goes for
the easiest joke the artist can think of.
It's damn interesting.

------------------
