Temporarily dead but lumbering on!

Post by DAJB »

Yes, sadly, today's instalment at Broken Voice Comics is the last page of Issue 1 of Lee Munday's frighteningly funny slice-of-life comic The Lumbering Dead.

The good news is that, in the best zombie tradition, the demise of Issue 1 is only a temporary affair and Lee is already hard at work on Issue 2. I've seen the finished script and, believe me, it's a veritable riot of British bad taste and the kind of wickedly funny sarcasm that's only ever traded between real life best mates. See ... how British is that!?

So, if you've been following this title, I'm afraid you're going to have to wait a little longer to find out if Den ever summons up the courage to approach the girl of his dreams or if Scott can persuade the gang to see The Lumbering Dead movie with him. But be patient. If the script I've seen is anything to go by, the wait is going to be worth it!

And, while you're waiting, do remember to keep checking for news at the BVC homepage. We'll be posting more of Lee's page notes on Issue 1 from time to time and, if you've read the notes he's prepared so far, you'll know that Lee's notes can be nearly as funny as the comic itself!

Now ... make yourself a cup of tea and re-read Issue 1 from the very beginning again. Go on. The laugh'll do you good!
