So I just got done getting my comic's web site up on Comic Genesis... and all my friends are asleep. Thought I would tell people here about it.

It's Lemon Yellow Black, and it's named after a Jets to Brazil song, although it has nothing to do with it. It's not about much of anything really. It's just a little gag strip I had been making for a couple of weeks now (up to ten comics up right now), but only showing friends. From what I've shown them, I've already heard lots of different opinions. Everyone seems to have a different favorite comic.

I like hearing comments and critiques =)
and be sure to tell me if I really fouled up somewhere. I keep going back and fixing things...

Not much of a critique, but I would like it if the comic itself was a little bigger. It's kinda small. Maybe it you scaled it a little, it'll be better. Besides that, it's okay. The art is cute. I like how you draw eyes and facial expressions. The lineart is also really clean.

Thanks for some feedback. I went and made all the comics a bit bigger. They're all uniformed scaled from 500 pixels wide to 750 now. Hope thats easier on your eyes. If that doesn't work, I suggest squinting. Painful squinting.

The larger size is a great improvement.

It's quite good. It's like a strange mix in between Jhonen Vasquez and Fred Ghallager, and something else I can't put my finger on. Touche.

I like it too.

THe two things that ruin it for me are the Chibi panel in the first comic and the apparant inside jokes.

other then that its cool in my books.

also: The header is pimp.

It's alright for a new comic, and it's made it on my list of comics I check out. Although if you're doing a gag-a-day strip the jokes are fairly hit and miss (for me anyway, for example I'm sure many find this one amusing but not liking modern music it went over my head ;)).

I'd personally keep these comics to a minimum. I have absolutely no idea what it's suppose to mean, and going by your news beneath it, I'm guessing there is no joke, and people sitting there trying to understand it, is what is funny. That reminds me of Any Kaufman whose style of humour was to play practical jokes on the audience. I remember in the movie on him one of the people says "Who are you trying to make laugh? Yourself, or the rest of the world?"

On the other hand I found today's comic absolutely hilarious (being a John I can definitely sympathize with it ;)).

That's just my 2 cents (from someone who doesn't have a webcomic up yet ;)).

i like it, it's different, it made me laugh. and has been said before, it did remind me of jhonen vasquez, which is always cool. i like the self narrative style, like you're telling us things about your past that we never knew, i'm interested though, is it gunna stay that way or are you hoping to turn it into a story type comic? i much prefer it the way it is. it's different to any other comics i read

Thanks for the critiques all. They help out a lot. I've recently started doing the comic in color, and I've got another comic in the works. It's just fun comparing the newest comics now to the first few. There have been a lot of changes. I actually like this coming Friday's comic a great deal... it was fun to do :D

I don't plan on ever having a continuous story... except maybe Versus the Sun Round 2. However, the second comic I'm doing is a gag strip with some story... kinda... sorta... at least more reoccuring characters.

You know... I actually didn't care much for the "Ska" comic... I think at the time, I had writer's block, and that was all I could think of.

However, doing comics that are purely random amuse me to no end. I like it even more when they amuse others.

I suppose there are a good amount of inside jokes in it... but my primary audience is my circle of friends. They're the ones I get to see enjoying my comics.
