The Uber Cool 3x a Week Grind.

Something a bunch of us spacers who don't update as frequently as we'd like have rigged up. Contest begins today, and basically the way it works is we try and update on our appointed days 3x a week, without fail, for if you fail to update for any reason, with your own art, you're gone.

I have no real site to plug, persay, as no ones slapped one together for me to begin advertisement with on other comic sites who offer advertising.

So, here's who we got.

Pimpette of Pimpette and Associates

Again, these are all spacers, so cheer them on and taunt the losers!

I'm not 100% sure what someone has to do when they lose, but so far I've heard if I lose I have to draw "Elvenass".

Here's the update schedules:

Angry D. Monkey will update Mon/Wed/Fri
Elvenbaath will update Mon/Wed/Fri
Digital War will update Wed/Fri/Sun
Darken will update Mon/Wed/Fri
Gunmetal Annie will update Mon/Thurs/Sat
Twice Destined will update Mon/Wed/Fri
Operation TC will update Tues/Thurs/Sun
Pimpette and Associates will update Mon/Wed/Fri
Pointless will update Mon/Wed/Fri
Chat Rouge will update Mon/Wed/Fri
The Gear will update Wed/Fri/Sun
Swords are Cool will update Mon/Wed/Fri
Burgundy Comics Inc will update Mon/Wed/Fri

May the strongest survive. My money's on the monkey.

Oh, and I do have a question for those with marketing savvy around these parts...I'm willing to pay money to advertise this once we get a site rigged up for it, a la The Daily Grind. Where would be the best places to market something like this? o_o;;

My goal by paying for advertising for this would be to get us all some new readers. I figure each one that looks, with comics of such a varied diversity, would find something they may like, and stick with it. All of our hits aren't going to skyrocket. A few extra readers for everyones effort though, I think it's worth me shelling out some cash.

Just cuz I love you guys. Any ideas?

(If this is in the wrong forum, please, let me know. I figured it could be a mass pitch, except for mine cuz it just started.)

Everyone in here has a hard time updating 3 times a week. We've built a reputation around it. Heck, refer to Ida's comment for more. It's a competition of those who really struggle to get these things out.

The competition started today, just wanted to get the word out. I wanted to call it "The Lazy Grind" to better get the idea across, but we went with "The 3x a Week Grind"

That's half the fun, and most of the reason I still check the daily grind website. I want cortland or ryclaude to win. Watching who drops before then, is just icing on the cake.

Or root for them to lose; since the loser will have to draw embarrassing things.

FYI, she was one of the first readers of my comic who came back time and time again. Number 11 or 12 I think she was. The first thing she said to me was an email, and it contained this:

At any rate, yeah. Holy freaking crap. I hope she's rooting for me to win

cause if it's to lose...then whoever she votes to win is in for a fight to the death for her fandom!!!!

I already came to grips with this concept. K-Dawg and I were talking about it in chat. Then he asked what exactly elvenass was...and I told him he'd never know, cause I won't lose =D

Bugger...one I might have been interesting in jumping in on and it's started before most people knew about it...bloody elite chat room buggers!

I've been consistent with my 3x weekly update...seems that counts me out anyway, eh?

Would probably have jumped into this one...

It's moreso for those of us who really aren't consistant with the updates. It's kinda an incentive to get off our lazy arses and make some damn comics.

Oh, and if i were you, I'd put money on me being out first
