Why is it so fast? I don't even know anything about the characters. appering/disappearing backrounds and so many font sizes and colors make it look ever more messy.
read the rules first?yeahduff wrote:Have an archive of comics before plugging. You don't want us judging you on a tiny body of work. It won't be fair to us, seeing as you just wasted our time, or to you, as we'll always remember you for not having much at your site. At least fifteen would be acceptable, thirty would be better, but you can plug with less. Just remember that the more the better. This means no teasers without the comics to back it up.

First it's too big for a promo image, that should be a link (check the DON'T MAKE ME KILL YOU thread at the top of the pitching forum), it's twice as wide as it's allowed be & over the file size limit too. So you've broken like 3 or 4 guidelines now, you'll be lucky if the thread stays here...
Now, why are you saving as gif? Your colours have gone all funky as a consequence - you can see the sunset's all bollocksed up at the end of that comic. A jpg would be about the same size with adequate compression - and even if it's a bit bigger, your target audience will not be 56kers so it doesn't really matter.
Third, don't call us stupid heads you're looking for criticism & not understanding it. The development in your story happens far too fast, that's what people are saying. For example, you took about 5 or 6 panels to show the guy falling off the spaceship, which was good, then suddenly they're in the observatory. Granted you've said more later for that one, & I think the 2nd comic is better paced, but there needs to be some sort of transition between him falling out of the spaceship & then cleaning up & being sent to the observatory. In fact, if you'd just left out the last panel and left the observatory til the next strip, it would've been a lot better. And there was no need for the "what happened last time" bit, it was slightly confusing & had too much trying to happen at once.
