Zorro and Ester: Check Check check it out!

Post by ZorroandEster »

Hi everyone. I've been doing a webcomic for a while, and I finally got on Keenspace with it. I've been adding all my old comics, and I have about one year's worth (of 3) on keenspace. I was gonna see what people thought of it, and if I could get some criticism. I'm always wondering what others think of it. So shoot away.

Oh yeah, the website is: [a href="http://zorroandester.keenspace.com"]http://zorroandester.keenspace.com[/a] so go check it out, please.

the basic premise of the comic is Zorro is a guy, he goes on wild adventures, lately he went to Swtizerland on a whim. He's the basic everyman, except he lives with his friend, an evil spirit that possessed her, and a dead superhero who is legally insane. During his freetime he battles the first XBox ever made, named, of course, XBox, and finds time every now and then to mock videogames.

The comic is PG. I have used one "dirty" word in 3 years time. No sexual content, so it is safe for all.

So go check it out (please) and let me know what you think, and what I should work on, and all that jazz.
Rock on,
-Hawke

It is, sort of. . . but not really:

Your whites aren't coming out exactly white so there's a paper colored border around your comic image. You CAN get rid of that unless of course it's intentional. Also, on some comics I can still see the marker lines. Those can also be dealt with post-scan.

Rasputin playing Mario Cart was good. *Poke* I win. 8)

Yeah. At first the color problems were by accident. My computer shows color darker than most, so when I am editing them it comes out pure black and white, and when I look on other computers it is not.
But after a while I started to like the not so pure black and white. It gave it a handdrawn feel I thought. (Well that and I am lazy) so I left it. Sometimes I think about fixing it, but I figure for now I will leave it unpure.

Yeah, and the Mario Kart Poke, I was very proud of that. Thanks for checking me out. (Ew, that sounds perverted.)

Your style reminds me somewhat of Larry Marder's "Beanworld", meets Jim Mahfood's "Grrl Scouts". Excellent work!

Thanks. That is a compliment to me. Mahfood is one of my favorite artists in the biz (as we like to call it.) I've never heard of Beanworld but now i have to check it out. Thanks for the compliment, yet again.
