Not Alone: The Tale of a Girl and her Wolf-Ram Hybrid

Post by Warofwinds »

Most people who know me here on CG know of my comic The War of Winds. Well, guess what?! I've got a side-comic called Not Alone! After reaching 20 pages, and finishing the first chapter, here I am!

Synopsis

Relan is a poor farm girl eking out a meager existence with her large family, until she starts to dream about places she's never seen before. Though she is scared of what she sees, she knows she must leave home anyways, to discover for herself what's real, and what's not.

Fen Aya Zen is a young Keyen of Clan Keeshin who can see through the eyes of young girl in a far away land. He knows that he, and the girl, are a Shan Pair, destined for a life of adventure and danger, unless one of them dies before meeting. He must choose between his Clan and this stranger in his mind, before the choice is taken from him.

And a sample page!

I like it. Anything with wolves is ok by me. Jack London and all that.

Oh man, after reading some of your wonderful tutorials (which btw were very helpul, thanks!), I have to comment a little on your site design...

I'd really like to read your comic but at times I'm having a tough time differentiating the actual comic from the site graphics. It's just too similar to my eyes and there's so much eye-candy on the sides that it's difficult to see the comic as the main message of the page. Don't get me wrong, I'm actually jealous of your web-designing ability - I'm just now learning how to do stuff for myself! I'd probably get used to it after a while but I thought I'd let you know the initial reaction I got.

Maybe if you toned down the surrounding graphics just a bit, or gave it a colour cast or something, it would bring out the comic itself more and make it easier to read. I do admit, I'm overly sensitive to complicated design, partly because I can't do it myself :)

And as far as I've gotten, the story seems interesting.
