They don't play on servers, they play using paper and pencil, using their IMAGINATION.
And it was glorious.
I theorize that he reached a point high enough above 20th level and gained enough believers to ascend to lesser godhood. Depending on which edition he was playing at the time, of course.

He didn't die. He just planeshifted. He will return and bring the downfall of the House of WoTC and reincarnate 2nd edition DnD.
