You know, I was wondering this myself. I mean, idolizing a bad artist surely isn't grounds for banishment right?

I think the problem was that he couldn't handle criticism very well and it snowballed into a flamewar.

He was banned because he was constantly a jerk in a few of the incarnations of the Doodles threads.

Like Jim said, he behavior was extremely rude and insulting to people who tried to offer some constructive criticism. Just about everyone was initially polite with him, offering advice and in a helpful manner I might add. He of course, decided to be a jerk and insult their talents, making challenges and then instantly weaseling out of them. It was right around when he went after a mod, IIRC, that he was banned straight up. Told to behave and he might be allowed to return. He showed up under a sock puppet name, praising his art, insulting others, and demanding for his unbanning. The puppet was banned, and he has not returned until now.

I suppose if he wanted a second (or third? whatever) chance he should have contacted the admin or something like that.
